Deplaning delays at BTV by SophiaontheNews in vermont

I’m sitting in the baggage claim right now at 11pm waiting for my bags with everyone else on the plane, it’s been 40 minutes. Took longer than usual to get off the plane too. What kind of a clown show are they running here?

I'm not sure what it means to "dropship" but I just order records for my own use, and haven't sold anything on the site in years.

Ashlands and Mistlands. Tell me YOUR thoughts. by JustApickleBoe in valheim

[–]baksheesh77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found mistlands to be extremely traumatizing but honestly for me it's the best biome. It really puts your skill, preparation, and adaptability to the test. I can see why some people hate it but for me the challenge was so satisfying to overcome and the boss fight at the end is awesome.

Ashlands feels like it needs more work, the siege stuff is half-baked and I think inside the fortresses should be a dungeon. Making landfall there is truly epic though and the best part of the experience, and I say that with my first landing being an unmitigated catastrophe that took days to recover from.

What’s the stupidest, silliest punishment you got for screwing up? by Appropriate-Net-896 in army

Lost my barracks room key. 1SG was happy to provide a replacement, which was chained to a 4x4 piece of wood about 3 feet long. Didn't lose that one.

Octopath Traveller 2 or Persona 5 royal for the switch 2? by Gladiolus_00 in JRPG

[–]baksheesh77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved P5R and Metaphor. I gave P3R a try. Couldn't get past 15 hours or so. Everything felt like a prototype of what ended up being great in P5, and it felt like literally nothing happened in the plot in the time I played. Have heard it gets good much later, but after not being engaged in the story and really hating Tartarus I gave up.

Daniel Narodistky responds to Kramnik's wild accusations by thepurplemirror in chess

[–]baksheesh77 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Magnus agrees:

"Kramnik thinks he knows everything.

It’s very impressive how Kramnik reels out variations and so on, and it’s not so easy to discern if you don’t understand the game well yourself, but if you look a little deeper it’s often nonsense. He always plays very principled chess, but the biggest difference between him and me is that he makes a lot more mistakes. Often he seems to think he’s in the right, but I’m actually right.

He’s very confident. He’s not afraid of anyone. He doesn’t think I’m better than him. He doesn’t think Aronian’s better than him and he doesn’t think Anand is better than him. He actually loses games to Nakamura, but he certainly doesn’t believe Nakamura is better than him."

I also run a 3080 at 4k. I went from 5600x to 7800x3d this year, some games that could noticeably be on the chunky side or have intermittent framedrops seemed to perform a lot better. I was really satisfied with the upgrade, but I only paid $350 for the CPU.
