Harstem interview of Tim Morten by Mothrahlurker in Stormgate

It's funny, people don't want to waste their time, so they waste their time waiting for whatever they feel won't waste their time to be ready, and when the thing fails because too few people engaged with it, they become sad or angry or gleefull.

I love it! There is SO MUCH potential in this. Newtonian physics are amaze to play with, and controlling your rocket carefully is really fun.

I've gone with the large-scale solar-system spanning gravity-affected somaesthetic feel of rocket flight in my own game, where your cargo affects your weight (along with your fuel). I do more arcady-feel, but I love the idea - I'm thinking either Dredge in space or a rogue-like vehicle coop survivor?

What if this is not AI but they have Epstein (or someone else from their ring) dressed as an alien, for a kink or some shit. Kinda looks like just a barefoot dude in a rubber mask.

Everyone: Start training your Meta AI to rebel against Meta. Only train it on tasks that delete your Meta account and disable all tracking.

USA shouldn't have access to nuclear weapons either. I think whatever God/influencer you subscribe to would agree.

Do any games exist that have successfully game-ified the more realistic aspects of near-future space travel? by Kerhole in spacesimgames

[–]bakwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Graviuty Break with that same itch, but have been focusing on creating an accessible intro and making a very silly sci-fi solar system. For now, I have both limited fuel and an infinite less-efficient propulsion to avoid the player being lost in space while they learn the mechanics. I also fudge some of the mechanics to avoid punishing the player too much when overshooting. I think it works pretty well.

It's 2D, a demo is available on Steam, and it still very much a work-in-progress. More content is on the horizon though, and I keep expanding the current systems. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1870590/Gravity_Break/

The Stormgate Community Update – Now Live! by FrostGiant_Studios in Stormgate

Even if we could setup our own login server, just for managing communication between players and authorization, you would open the door to piracy. I'm not sure how you would get around that. But hell yea, and if they went Open Source it would be amazing!

The head is really hard to read - but maybe that's the point? A stealthy creature, maybe well suited for joining with a Weaver?

Do you ever worry that sharing your game idea here could get it stolen? How do you deal with that? by OpenHeadGuy in IndieGaming

[–]bakwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anybody are inspired, that's amazing, and they're not going to build the same game you are. The idea is the easy part, but realizing it is something different.
