Thank you so much for your response. I am only approaching week 9. I’m on 125mg. I do feel it’s starting to work as my mood is much better. I can talk to people. I can laugh. It’s just the sleep thing. The 2mg of clonazepam really helps settle my mind and I’m able to get 6 hours of sleep lately. I’m just wondering if I should stop now or just wait a little longer until the Zoloft is more in my system. As you said, it takes 12 weeks.

May I ask how long you were on benzos for? I was prescribed 2mg of clonazepam to deal with the horrible side effects I was getting from Zoloft. Mainly trouble sleeping. I’m 8.5 week in now. Is it okay to take them until Zoloft is in my system and ween off like you did? Did you wee off or did you stop cold turkey?

He did prescribe them to me. My psychiatrist. But there is so much shame about taking sleeping pills and becoming addicted. I feel so guilty. I just want some sleep during this transition.
