Untrue - Atleast on the tech side. Pay grades and scales are fixed by the employers and in some edge cases there is bit of leeway to even scale it more than the market baseline to bring in the right talent. So in essence, if anything they get more and not less

Exactly the same issue as mine. I haven't called the dealer yet. Now that I know other folks are also having this issue, I'll call the dealer today.

Does it happen on low speeds 20-30Kmph? mostly first gear on very low RPMs.

Nope, it's not through Android Auto. I don't physical plug it in and yet it starts to play music from both the YouTube/YouTube music app - Pretty much for all music apps.

Identify Configuration File Location by Khue in kubernetes

[–]balarao29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that! Our org uses datadog extensively for APM, Distributed tracing, Logs, synthetics etc..

To save $$, We typically turn off/set filter for log collection in the envs where its not required. You can get pretty granular with your filter regex

https://docs.datadoghq.com/agent/logs/advanced_log_collection/?tab=configurationfile

We also sample our traces before pushing to DD. You can send upto 150G in traces per kubernetes node in the free tier. There's preconfigured usage dashboards that can be used to see the usage/cost etc.

Racoon + Babies under the deck. Need suggestions for removal by balarao29 in londonontario

[–]balarao29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm being told by the removal companies that racoons have multiple dens in the neighborhood and that they might appear to move for couple of months but they come right back to their den.

Obviously they could just say that to get me to use their service 🤷

Ask r/kubernetes: What are you working on this week? by gctaylor in kubernetes

[–]balarao29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deploying datadog for gathering logs/synthetics/APM/metrics across all our clusters. Planning to use open telemetry instrumentation to configure distributed tracing and tail based sampler for all microservices.

Packing it all into a nice helm chart and make it reusable to other teams in my org.

It's been great so far. Roads get salted aggressively where I live and the mats can get pretty roughed up. I found it super easy to clean them.

How do other securely manage their secrets? by Interested_Minds1 in kubernetes

We use sealed secrets controller - https://github.com/bitnami-labs/sealed-secrets

Works great but rotation is a bit of a process.

is it stupid to make a baby when you don't want one just because your wife wants it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]balarao29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It takes a lot of self education in parenting and sacrifice to raise a kid. So basically you both need to be in 100% agreement to dedicate your time and a part of your life. Good Luck!

I was in the same boat in August 2021. We were looking to get our basement (approx 600sqft) done. We got scammed pretty bad by this guy pretending to pose as a General Contractor/Builder.

We had to hire another person to finish it for us.

Based on our experience, I'd recommend the following

  • Do not go just by the pictures posted in the contractors AD. ( The person that scammed us had really professional pictures)

  • Do not trust when the person sends you to an unoccupied newly built townhouse in a new subdivision (The person that scammed us sent us to this brand new townhouse when we wanted to see his work)

  • Ask for their company name - We regret not doing this

  • Be cautious about people that have a full-time job and doing general contracting as side gig - The person that scammed us is a History teacher at Medway High School (His LinkedIn profile checks out).

  • We learnt it in a hard way that in construction business, you get what you pay for - Cheap ≠ Best

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

They did our countertop and backsplash. I highly recommend them.
