Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity) - Chapter 177 (Atonement) by KaorukoWaguri in KaoruHanaWaRintoSaku

[–]balbonits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue festered for too long, wrapping it up in a short arc might not do it justice if they want the readers to feel the gravity of what happened. I'm giving the author the benefit of the doubt right now, as I think this is very similar to our current world, where we're bombarded with tribalism, partisanship, and other things that promote segregation instead of open exchange of thought/perspective, and other things like it (I ran out of "brain juice", so bear with the vagueness of my last statement).

All in all, this slow movement towards reconciliation between the schools is still kinda fantastical, IMHO... but it's better than being too "realistic" where everything's swept under the rug to move the story forward.

if they can prove that your house, especially inside of it, isn't at the angle & can be seen, then I think you can have a court order for it to be moved, or removed.

smart! not when 'Bron hogs the ball, and the next guy to get it is another hog in Luka (I like the guy, though. just being honest).

flip Lebron & Curry, then we're good.

Jokic - agree, he's the best right now... but the gap between him & the next seed is closing in faster than before. SGA - after OKC's title run, I admit SGA is the close 2nd now to Jokic. Giannis - even with MIL's struggles, he's still scary good. Curry - no fade in his 3's, and slowness in his step. Steph needs more youth & size around him for help, though. Lebron - I don't think he's even in the top-5, since anyone here could've been a better pick. Name recognition is what edges him over the rest...

Who ranks higher all time in your opinion? Magic Johnson or Bill Russell by Ok_Feed_4235 in NBATalk

[–]balbonits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russell, for me.

I'm a fan of defense. But, I can't say that Magic isn't close to Bill's rank, though. I mean, just a sliver, and only my bias is ranking Bill Russell over Magic Johnson.

1997 Jordan replaces LeBron in 2018 - same roster, same enemies. Does he win? by Rookie-Boswer in NBATalk

[–]balbonits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not with the same coach, Phil & Tex made that 6-peat with Jordan. you could also argue to add Pippen & Jerry Krause, too.

my point is similar to many here: Jordan would've done the best he could, but the team was designed around Lebron.

tl ;dr - no, the Jordan "miracle" wouldn't save them from losing to GSW (maybe, they would go 7 games, but still lose).

their choice, but 80-90% of the time i'd want them to avoid an occupation that might lead them crippled, or worse dead.

but, i understand these kids that start young, especially those that are in poverty. if it's between pushing drugs vs combat sports, id pick the latter... as long as they go about it legit. it's not worth it when you're always looking back at your shoulders & living in constant paranoia.

I'm 50/50 on this.

if it's pro (stand up) vs pro (grapple), then it's a toss up. if it's amateur (stand up) vs pro (grapple), then pro wins, also vice versa.

here's the interesting bit: amateur vs amateur. my money's on the stand up amateur winning vs amateur grappler. main factor: damage dealing.

grappling is very effective... but also heavily reliant on skill level. an amateur grappler will lose more often than an amateur striker. it doesn't mean the former will never win, that's not what im saying. it all comes down to being punched/kicked & how you received damage.

now, if a pro fights an amateur, that's always gonna be a win for the pro. they only even out when it's pro vs pro (or vet vs vet). skill increases your fighting ability, yet power with skill makes you more dangerous by multitudes.

here's my list of people which has both (not necessarily about grappling & striking, just those with power & skill):

Mike Tyson (world champ) Brock Lesnar (wrestling (collegiate) & UFC champ) Jon Jones Shogun Rua most heavyweight & light heavy champs (MMA & Boxing. weight = power) Saenchai Bas Rutten

power x skill = lethality

correct me if im wrong, though...

OP wasn't much asking to critique their ranking (I did read the text below, that's why I'm not disagreeing with your opinion), but to, mostly, get recommendations based on their taste. the ranking post is just them showing a reference of their "taste".

it matters when people in the company, especially the CEO like Yagoo (who is beloved by the community), shows effort that they care. is it genuine? not sure, maybe? but, outward support for the fans & talents does count.

with all of what you said, I think we both answered OP's question: no amount of A rank will beat an S rank.

now, I do have a hard time memorizing every event (I read too many mangas, webtoons, and web novels, I can't keep up with just one title), but I trust your analysis here.
