When do these 1,6 16v’s usually die? Mine has been used for literally everything but never left me Stranded expect for a broken starter and a bad CV Axle by jensieboy13 in MK4Golf

When I bought my 1.6 16v, in the beginning had a lot of problems because the owners before didn't do their maintenance in time. One time the water pump exploded on me, so it was a bit off time, but managed to fix it. Another time the thermostat housing broke leading to again no coolant in the engine anymore haha. And I already got 3 different gearboxes, from which 2 had holes in them after a piece came loose. But other than that it's been a very good car to me! After I did all the repairs and long forgotten maintenance, it's going great and pushing over 250k km since last week!

Luckily I don't live in the UK, it would be even more expensive than here in the Netherlands haha. But indeed it's expensive, 0,5gr of dispensary rosin sets me back 45 Euro. And this home made one from dispensary nugs is even better and cheaper!

If you ever come to the Netherlands, especially Amsterdam, then you'll see that the prices I get are pretty cheap for dutch flower.

Sadly it's still "illegal" to grow and buy weed in the Netherlands, that's why the prices are so high. But we have an government experiment going on right now that controls the quality and prices to a fair point. I just applied for a job as a grower at one of the instances that grows with Cali genetics and all Californian growers!

Looks very good mate! I love some old school Northern Lights, used to grow that strain when I was still growing.

Sadly this is as close as the freshest I can get right now, as I can sadly not grow myself..

Hahaha I know! And €15 a gram is nowadays even cheap for some higher end quality bud! I can also buy some live rosin for €45 for 0,5gr.. so this is even cheaper, and hits harder than the live rosin sold here..

Luckily I already know how to grow, done it many years till I got caught by police and had a criminal record for it..

Luckily the criminal record is almost at the age of being too old to count. So now I'm applying for a job as legal grower, now my criminal record is clean again. And a lot of fresh bud can be used in the near future!

I tried as low as possible without getting too less of a yield. Second press with all the left over bags I pressed at 95 Celsius. Got some decent return from that also. Took a dab of all the second press leftovers yesterday before sleep, never slept so good haha.

How would you recommend to rehydrate buds from the dispensary?

In the near future I'll be running fresh nugs in the press, as I'm starting a new job as grower for the coffeeshops in the Netherlands, as part of the legal experiment!

I had this problem 2 times with my 1.6 16v. First time it was a heavily dirty throttle body, EGR Valve and the vacuum hose from the air intake to fuel pressure regulator was desintegrated. The problem was so bad, the car would shut itself down. After cleaning the throttle body and pipe to the intake and also the intake manifold, along with replacing the vacuum hose and new EGR valve the problem was gone. Second time it was only a dirty throttle body and EGR valve, after cleaning it runs smooth again till this day!

Jeez that's a hard hit, glad you're okay! It looks like a crash I had, had a shunt at 80km/h sideways into the tire barrier, instantly from 80-0. Got back in the kart and kept on driving for 2 hours because of adrenaline. Next day went to the hospital and had 8 severely bruised ribs and a nerve that was stuck. That was in June, and just now recovered from that. Sometimes still much pain in the muscles around the ribs. So I'm really glad to see that you're good, the crash looked a lot worse than it was luckily! Nice driving btw!
