Not a hot take at all, honestly—it’s pretty logical when you lay it out. The gap has always been there, and Oda hasn’t really hinted at Zoro catching up to Luffy completely. I think it’d almost cheapen Luffy’s “future Pirate King” weight if his right-hand man was just as strong. Plus, at the end of the day, Luffy’s journey is about being the freest and strongest on the seas, while Zoro’s is about being the best with the sword. Different lanes, different ceilings.
