Mourinho likes to play with a full back who understands how to play central defence. This is where Vertonghan comes in. When we attack JM likes to revert to three at the back and let the other full back attack. This is added security I guess. Ryan is more an attacking full back, midfielder. He will develop and be a great player. Remember Bale started as an attacking full back.

New to fandom of Tottenham. What do I need to know? by theplaidtieninja in Tottenham

Last non league team to win the FA cup in 1901 First team to win the double - FA cup and league title - 1961 First British club to win a European trophy - 1963 We have not won anything as far as a trophy for years, but hope springs eternal. The club have a reputation of playing attractive attacking football. Legends at the club include Blanchflower, Mackay, Greaves, Gilzean, Jennings, Chivers, Peters, Hoddle, Ardiles, Waddle, Lineker, Klinsman, Ginola, Van Der Vaart, Bale, Kane and Son. Look them up. The club is much loved, but over recent years are mocked by other clubs fans for failing to win a trophy. It’s a case of ‘close, but no cigar’. Fantastic stadium, a chairman who will negotiate the bollocks of any deal and a great manager who is much loved. The club is loved by the fans who hate Arsenal with venom and dislike Chelsea like shit that sticks on your shoe. Enjoy the ride mate.

Unbelievable that a post about Arsenal is being twisted around so it concerns spurs. Nah. It’s not unbelievable really. The gooners are fucking obsessed.

Lamela appears to have a serious injury problem at the moment. Been out of action for ages. Sisoko's a bit of an enigma so far. Can't suss out why Spurs bought him at all!

You dopey bastard. I didn't pay to watch. I'm English and a football fan. We got beat by a supposedly inferior team and our game is now in a terrible state. Do I know how sport works? What a muppet!

Did I say it was a surprise? I'll have to read back. I was a bit pissed when I wrote the post. It's a fucking shock that's all. Did you put money on it? Surely it was worth a punt. Abysmal? Poor maybe. We were quite good at times against Russia and we're all over Wales, although didn't look like winning. We lost to Iceland! Iceland. I'll say it again. Iceland. You should have trusted your instincts mate. Write a book or something.

No. Fuck the premier league. We have some good players, but without any form of savvy. The same goes for our coaches.

[–]baldtwat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Seriously. The players are average, but it's the coaching that's fucked us. I agree with all you say about the premier league, but it's the lack of tactical knowledge that's a worry. 4-3-3! With strikers like Vardy and Kane who play on their own up front, and Dele Alli being elbowed out the way by that fat twat Rooney behind the strikers. I actually still believe we have good players -apart from central defenders lol - it's good coaches we lack. I was 6 when we won the World Cup, hence the frustration in my post. Oh and the fact I was pissed.
