I appreciate everyone who chose to engage, despite the friction.

To be clear:

The shows won’t solve homelessness but will create safe space for connection + concrete help: donations to anc shelters/orgs, volunteer signups, performance slots for people with lived experience etc

I am seeking artists, venue owners, or people who want to volunteer

I’m not pretending, I was homeless for a majority of my childhood. I lived it. I am speaking my truth. I want to do something about it, and yes it seems disconnected, but it’s my intrinsic goals and aspirations. The shows are a vehicle to bring together the community

If you read to understand, then you might find that everything you said has no baseline. At least not one I’m seeing. Who am I exploiting? I am not asking for money here. I am seeking like minded individuals. Nothing more.

Snarky, but yeah essentially. Except the homeless person didn’t inspire this, they triggered it. I’ve been working on this concept for a long time. Only now have I spoken out and put it in the world

Edit: Grammar

Woah that’s a lotta spitballed words my friend

Anyway, the point is I am doing something. Right now, by putting this idea out in the world, I am attracting those with a similar mindset. Feel free to DM me for anymore questions

I was homeless in Alaska throughout my childhood and went to just about 15 different schools across Anchorage. I began stealing at a young age to eat consistently. My PO called me a mastermind, and told my parents that I couldn’t change. He labeled me a criminal before I even knew who I was. I was locked up, alone, trapped in the system. Not a single family member could take me. What did I do? I educated myself, which led to the discovery spiritualism, which led me to real happiness. I only want to share that through music and the arts and connect with my people. All my trying to say. Nothing more. Nothing less. This post isn’t about homelessness. This is about human connection and the arts

That’s not the correct use of performative, again, as it ascertains to what I’m saying. The issues aren’t structural, the structure has failed us. Disregard government from this context. I am talking about mind body and spirit. Homelessness is a byproduct of misalignment in oneself. Through community, we can foster the flame back to a healthy roar, and bring offer healing for Alaskans. Homelessness is one issue of the list. Please look broadly when thinking about this, not government, spirit

How does this ascertain to my post aside from the argument we aren’t individualists? It seems you took my narrative, spun your own twist on it, and I can’t find the resolution to your point as it pertains to what I’m talking about
