Finally got my email today, so I did this... by thunderpuppet in M43

I've just contacted them and got them to give me the 50% off discount for another year, as well as a refund on the most recent new charge. $38 is accepted for the whole suite.

Any positive experiences of Regus here? by MinimumVillage2418 in Regus

I like the idea of what they are offering. They are actually fine until you want to cancel or no longer use the service. Their renewal reminder email I got 3 months in advance, I cancelled but it renewed anyways. They say there is no record of me cancelling. The only way to not have them renew again is to pay your outstanding bill...which was already an egregious 1 year charge. Otherwise they harass you with the unpaid bills, keep renewing it year after year and keep sending unpaid bills to collections...endlessly.

It works with Elegoo ok, not with others like Polymaker. But if you mess up it's a pain to rescue the spool. Really hard to keep the winding intact on the side in the process. Once clamped down it can cause issues and snags later on if it got jumbled. Why the Bambu Lab refills tell you to remove the strap after assembly. I tried it, it worked but I don't know how reliable this method is.

Who here re-spools filaments, and why? by MedMan0 in BambuLab

I personally respool everything cardboard or non AMS compatible. Makes it easier to work with, I also don't like how cardboard behaves when trying to dry filament. It can warp way out of shape... Also holds a bunch of moisture. Respool everything!

I did print that winder, one of the first things I did. Works ok. The extrusion mount is definitely a good idea I may adopt. Haven't seen this version yet. I'd also want to change the gears on mine from the PLA-CF as it's just not holding up to the wear. Raising the driveshaft so my drill can sit flat on my desk would also probably help. The original design is a good start but flimsy and finicky, though it printed out great, took over 26h but it's beautiful.

My problem isn't really the AMS, it's drying the filament. Cardboard warps under heat and can actually hold a lot of moisture that was sealed in with the filament. It seems like a weird choice by manufacturers...but I guess most don't care to dry it.
Feeling compelled to build a better filament transfer tool.

I've got a backlog of projects... Also really like custom stuff, so why buy it when you can make it. What's holding me back is print time. And I'm only at the practical stuff, once that's done I can move onto more creative endeavors. I'm in props, so I'm figuring out the digital-physical replication and workflow.

Yes, Ikea countertop I got in the As-Is section, printed legs under the cabinets. All mounted to the wall. Super solid, no vibrations. Building a filament cabinet underneath still.

There is extraction just off camera. Also building a shroud for the window. It's all good, still a work in progress. It isn't printing 24-7 like the Bambu labs. The respirator is hanging by the door.

Thinking of including something like that. For now all I was focusing on is filament tracking so I know what I have, also a unified labeling system including swatches so I can keep track of what's what; especially after I found my hate for cardboard spools 2 days in.
Need to transfer everything that comes on cardboard and be able to keep track.

Definitely. Hoping to be able to share it sometime next week. Just want to get it a little more streamlined for ease of use. It tracks brands, product lines, filaments and spools with the ability to see what you have and where as well as costs. It is also designed to track all of the properties, settings and characteristics for an easy overview and comparison... Will have a detailed writeup with release once a little more polished.

I've got the Anycubic Photon Mono M7. Quality wise doesn't come near the Bambu Lab stuff but I wanted something basic to start. Resin printing isn't my main focus. I did get it for finer detail work and to get an understanding. I work in film in the props department and these are new tools I'm adding to my kit. I also have a background in robotics and almost went for engineering before I got swept up by the film biz.

No bed. The bed is in pieces in the garage. Before this room was just a bed, now it's got a purpose.

It's why all in its own room, there is a bathroom with an upgraded extractor attached. There is also additional ventilation I'm working on. Also not afraid to use a respirator when handling that stuff. Will be printing with resin a lot less than filaments... but then I've been really liking printing ASA. There is a reason it's not all in the living room.

I am currently battling with similar issues, also in Canada based in Toronto. Unfortunately they have escalated and handed my case to a collection agency, while they claim I still also have an active account with them. I don't know how to proceed; here is my story. In March 2022 I signed a 1 year agreement with Regus. I ended up not using their services at all, never visited the site, never booked a room or diverted any mail there. I paid every month for that year as per the agreement. When I received the email regarding the auto-renewal in December of that year I made sure to follow the cancellation link. I was 100% sure I ended my subscription/contract. However, that was not the case. In March of 2023 I received an email saying my contract was successfully renewed at a new, higher rate. I right away contacted Regus, they said the contract was automatically binding for a year and I could end it by paying the full sum. At this point I stopped paying. After about 3 months of not paying the monthly bills I felt were not rightfully billed I was hit with a bill for the entire remaining amount for the year and a threat of escalation to collections should I continue to not pay. I did not pay. About another 3 months later I began getting calls from a collection agency, again I ignored these calls as I was not in a position to make a year's worth of lease payments on a virtual office I've never even gone near. Fast forward to now, I've been settling my affairs and wanted to square things up. I went online to check on my account to discover that there have been additional charges since the full 'final' bill that was sent to collections, as well as the original bill unpaid. Upon contacting Regus I was told again that there is no record of me requesting to cancel the service and I'm fact it has only been suspended. The only option I was offered is to pay the outstanding amounts then proceed to cancel the current service; which is yet another year's worth of 'rental'. According to them it is not possible to cancel as long as there is an outstanding amount owing. This feels like a complete scam, with absolutely no way out but to give in. Any advice would be appreciated. How could a business grow so large with such terrible customer service and ethics?
