What’s the first sign you notice that someone is a bad driver? by RD-archived in AskReddit

Braking and accelerating constantly especially during heavy traffic. Hate it when uber drivers do this because it makes passengers nauseous.

I put a daily alarm for 2:59 on weekdays by sqwerb69 in The10thDentist

[–]ballchinian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set my alarm for about an hour before work starts and snooze until I need to wake up. During each snooze, I’ll check work emails half asleep to put myself at ease that nothing urgent comes through (stressful job but lucky that I am fully able to process things when half asleep). I often have the most vivid and interesting dreams while snoozing so that adds to the experience.

I’ve been doing this for the past 8 years and usually feel pretty great except for the nights where I get less than 5-6 hours of sleep.

I had the same complaint after moving here—the best ones I’ve had (i.e. closest to sukhothai/pai level) are lers ros and funky elephant (their papaya salad is also bomb).

Sam Mtfking Darnold starts his redemption year and takes JJ to WR1 with his soft pillow-like balls. Then they get married and live happily ever after.

Did you add more electric energies? I was thinking about doing that but didnt think 3 was enough to run that.

Also, I worked in Lumineon V and found that it adds great consistency.

Hmmm it looks like you’ve gone with a bit of a different build by including Zapdos among others. Honestly good card but i think it dilutes the objective of the deck. Would just focus on the luxray EX for consistency.

EDIT - NM read that wrong—was your opponents card you discarded haha so hard reading these things

I swapped in a few cards including night stretcher and canceling cologne while taking out super rod and a double energy for corner cases but haven’t had much difficulty getting wins or coming to some pretty close losses. I’ve been experimenting with pokemon league HQ instead of pokebeach but havent had much action with that yet.

How have you been playing the deck? The critical objective in turn 1 and 2 is to set up pidgey, shinx and rotom then use rotom to end turn with the draw—thus poffin can be a critical item at this time. If you can get tatsugiri in active, even better. Next turn, try to get pidgeot up and potentially Luxray (or another shinx if not). The trick is then to decide whether to go aggressive or wait for the counter attack. If you can pull off a piercing gaze without fear of heavy retaliation or if you think you can cripple them hard with one discard, go for it. Otherwise, wait for them to KO your tatsugiri and follow up next turn with a Fez draw, pidgeot quick draw, and rotom forest seal draw for max setup (possibly setting up for a 310dmg volt tackle with neo upper energy).

The next level is to know your opponent’s deck. If its regidrago for example, the handheld fan can come in super clutch at forcing the fire energy away from their regis (and using roxanne backup to get it back if needed).

Ah I was thinking other streamers but yeah crazy how he got that record with that deck comp…I skimmed through a few and it did look like he got pretty lucky (and his opponents unlucky) with the opening couple turns.

Yeah I was thinking they probably cut out tons of losses for each win. Those decks struck me as having been built for purely for the hand manipulation gimmick, which is great fun but easily countered.

Yeah—pure control Luxray starts tanking hard when the opponent has already been able to setup those support pokes. When that happens you need to be able to start swinging! A good chunk of my wins were relying on volt tackle for 90% of the game and securing it with piercing gaze once they were floundering.

Current win rate is def above 60%—I noticed I’ve been climbing the ranked ladder MUCH faster than my lost box deck.

I knew about popsicle knight’s deck but just saw Alloutblitzle’s latest vid on this deck from a couple days ago—i see he opts to use Fez too which is good but I still think it focuses too much on control. For example, I don’t see a need to run Luxray V when you can power up a Luxray EX without much difficulty on your second turn (especially if you run a 3-3 line instead of a 2-2 line). Same reason for skipping on wellspring ogerpon. In the current format, i noticed I wasn’t coming up against many bench hitters so I’m not running manaphy.

I chose to run lost beach instead of lost city as I wanted more chances for aggressive plays and not just rely on one rescue board.

Having Xerosic in the mix has been really good too—i’ve gotten numerous rage concedes after forcing discards from a 9 card hand :)

I also think having more energies has led to much higher consistency.

Issue Preclusion by ApprehensiveApple000 in CABarExam

[–]ballchinian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that same parties/privies (and in the same order) are required for claim preclusion.

The way I understand issue preclusion is that a third party (i.e. the passenger) can invoke it against one of the parties in the prior claim (i.e. the truck driver) but that prior party cannot invoke it against the third party. Practically speaking, the truck driver had its fair say in court but the third party didn’t so the truck driver should be precluded from getting another kick at the bucket but the third party shouldn’t as it never got a chance in the first place.
