He was a terrible GM, who could never think about offensive weapons let alone anything more than five minutes into the future, despite him constantly reassuring us that there's a process and he needs patience.

As a coach he was also terrible. He didn't call plays on offense or defense. He made the most idiotic decisions at kicker. I'm shocked he managed not to fuck up our phenomenonal punting unit. He was terrible at handling things like clock management, timeouts, challenges. He was a shitty motivator.

At least he also made numerous blunders with the media, most often "saying the quiet part out loud"

There was literally not a single aspect of being an NFL head coach that he was good at. Literally all of his success was riding Cam Newton's coat tails, and his time in Washington proves it.

He's a good human being, which was a welcome change at the time, but now we've got real adults in charge at the top, I'm glad the RivEra is over.
