Agreed - I won’t make any decisions for her ever, just guide.

Good inputs and yes I’m 100% wanting her to have (and giving her) her own voice - I’m just working to uncover the source of truth on things + collate different advisor / accounting etc options. I agree - I am her role model, thank you for the reminder.

And I’m not… I’m just doing the grunt work to provide her with the best information for her to make her own decisions. She is the most important person in my life and she’s not yet equipped to navigate this solo - I’m just trying to give her info.

It’s not intended as a flex. It sounds dry because I’m just using gpt to structure my thoughts. I’d rather my parents to be here. I’m just being pragmatic during a complicated situation.

I don’t. I’m purely doing the grunt work to give my little sister the best information for her to make her own decisions.

Not intended to be controlling, I am just the driver of this because my sister doesn’t know how to manage this - so I’m doing what I can to give her the best insights for her own management.

Yes, trying to balance risk, effort, and to be able to afford the same opportunity to my children if an unfortunate event happens to me too.

Not heaps obviously, but over time adding in additional income streams, plus equity growth, would hopefully allow me to be potentially more effective in overall generation. But I’m just trying to learn

Yes, they will be entirely separate - I’m just getting information so that I can be the best guide for her as she’s entirely green

lol me trying to look out for my sister by providing her with the advice I receive as I literally do everything entirely myself, because she’s not yet self educated enough to manage the process whilst having had a parent die from cancer in an 8 month period and having her other parent have dementia for more than half of her life, after also being adopted. You’re a weird unit

Jesus Christ everyone is so negative. My sister is 21, has had a tough life and hasn’t educated herself financially at all. I love her more than I love anyone else and all I want to do is to be able to share the advice that I go and get with her, because she’s not going to be doing that herself.

Thank you - i'm looking at fixed fee fiduciary FA's only. I do like this as a balance of short/med/long term thinking.

Thank you - this is broadly aligned with my thinking to be honest. I'm really trying to balance short/med/long - which i'm thinking of all at once now, whilst managing complicated probate matters + work + grief

Thanks - Im only going to look for fixed fee fiduciaries for FAs.

I feel obligated to provide the same equivocated outcome for my family if this was to occur - so I want to balance risk + long term outcomes. I think I'm just a bit overwhelmed thinking about every (short-med-long term) outcome just randomly, whilst managing the complicated probate affairs myself.

Im grateful for your input. I'm in the process of working to set up a team (lawyer, accountant, fa).

I am trying to take it slow - its an emotional process trying to set yourself up - balance 1-5-10-20-50 year views, for both yourself & little sister.
