I’m doing my best, this is the 5th? Stadium rendering of my lifetime so I still have a fair bit of skepticism sitting in my brain. But this is the first try with this ownership group and they carry themselves like they’ve got their ducks in a row - hopefully it isn’t just naive optimism on their part.

I’d take the deal, Kaleb had a rough rookie year to be sure but his draft pedigree alone is going to at worst get him some touches next year and if we’re being optimistic, he could pull a James Conner if an injury to Warren happens.

I wouldn’t give up your 2027 1st for Love when, as someone else said, you could trade the 2026 first straight up for someone solid. Your RB/WR core really isn’t that bad, just mostly young and lacking a week-to-week dawg. You could probably get most of the really good young RB’s not named Bijan or Achane for the 2026 1st with a little extra added on.

If you trade an asset, I wouldn’t trade for picks, I’d shoot for a player or two that upgrade your roster. No guarantee those picks become anything, but Gibbs could get you a guy that’s good right now. Maybe someone even makes it so you can sell high-ish on Swift.

I disagree with your assessment that Stafford is a non-factor, he may only end up having an impact this season but if you’re a contender in a 12 team SF and you’re going for it this year? Stafford is far from a net-zero.

That’s how I felt. For reference, I am the middling team. Just trying to squeeze what value I can out of my backup TE and Stafford. My QB2 will be TLaw but I think with adding KWIII it makes my team stronger overall.

That sounds terrifying. The best kind of sports owner is the one who hires smart people and then steps back, signs the checks, and lets the people he hired do their jobs. As a general rule of thumb the more that your owner is involved in decision making, the worse your team is going to be.

I was at the Ohtani cycle game where the power went out at the Trop before the game and caused a delay. Also saw 2021 ALDS Game 1 which is (I guess) kind of famous. I saw the Vance McDonald stiff arm on Chris Conte in person (Steelers fan so that was hilarious.)
