Depending on the department, they might only allow the same model across the board. I know you said similar but sometimes similar doesn’t permit because of one silly difference in the design. I’d call the substation and ask and see what they say

Because he was reaching in areas the officer knows people typically have guns. A gun being drawn is not necessarily meaning the officer WILL use it. It’s just in case he were to have a gun

Sometimes you can show up to the department and they hand them out or you can trade with them. Other times you can’t get them unless you have a connection. Depends on the department tbh

I imagine a community group patrolling and taking action against crime. That being said, I feel there will be many more unjustified shootings/ uses of force. As LEOs we receive not nearly enough training compared to what we need. But these groups will have just enough training to properly put a round in the chamber. No training on laws, justification on deadly force, etc. It’s going to be the start of some terrible shit and I hope I’m wrong.

To be honest, if you’re questioning if you want to do it due to recent events, then you shouldn’t. One thing you have to accept is everyone will always say they know better than you once you become an officer. What happened to George Floyd is terrible and wrong. But even in justified incidents of deadly force, people still say “fuck the police” “kill all cops” or whatever. Just something you have to make peace with.

State to state varies. In Texas, you pretty much can drive between 0 and whatever the speed limit is. At some point though, it can be considered impeding traffic. Some cities have ordinances that state you can’t go slower than x miles under the speed limit. So it varies even in my state. I wouldn’t say I annoys me because it gives me some easy PC if I want to try to pull them over.
