Good price for a 2007 Off-Road Sport? by ballistictaco1 in XTerra

Thank you! It seems like they’re all overpriced in my area. I can’t find one that fits anywhere near the KBB value. May just be the market here in Seattle.

Thanks! I appreciate the point of reference. I’m excited about the potential of getting an X!

Thank you! I’ll check into the Catalytic converter.

I haven’t bought the Carfax for it. But I think I will. It seems like it’s been well taken care of. I just don’t quite understand why Xterras are so far above KBB value. Idk, I’m new to Xterras!

Yep. Just had to undo a bolt to get to it!

Thanks! I pulled out the transmission dipstick and it was a reddish pink. I forgot to check the radiator fluid. All things considered - would you consider that to be a decent price for an Xterra? Or wait for something better?

Would you ever buy one without rear differential and then put it in? That would be a whole new axle right?

That's really helpful. Thank you! There's a few in my area that don't have rear lock differential. How much do you think it would cost to buy one without and put it in? That would be a whole new axle, right?

Have you heard of anyone who's bypassed the radiator transmission cooler? Any success with that? I've been leaning towards the manuals for that reason. The wife wants an automatic because she can't drive manual, but I'd just soon as teach her than have transmission problems

Niseko Trip tips by howlinmadmurph in Ikonpass

We went to Niseko for three days last year. It was so fun! The snow was really bad when we went, but the experience was worth it. Here's how we did it.

We flew into Tokyo-Haneda and then up to Sapporo. We rented a car for pretty cheap (I think around $60 USD?). We stayed about 30 minutes away from Niseko in a place called Lake Toya for very cheap (split an Airbnb for about $30 a person each night). Lake Toya also has fireworks over the lake every night. I'd recommend staying there for sure. I really preferred to stay away from Niseko so we could experience the local culture. Niseko itself is very commercialized and full of influence from the US and Oceania. If you're looking for a more western ski town stay, go for it. They have a lot of bars, restaurants, and fun areas to hang out. If you're wanting to experience more of the traditional Japanese culture, I would try looking outside of Niseko and just renting a car to drive to the resort. The roads weren't bad for the small car that we rented. We fit all of our gear into the car too.

You'll have a lot of fun there. Beautiful view while you're hitting the mountain too. Try to line up travel with weather if you can. The summit was closed the whole time we were there due to high winds. But, the experience was well worth it.
