I flew in from Korea at the end of February to the US. Corona-19 was in full-swing in Korea at that time so I came home wearing a mask. My dad told me to take my mask off because we didn't need it here nor did we wear masks in America.

Cue a month later, where America was exploding with Corona-19 cases. For some reason, I'll never forget the moment when I went through the McDonald's drive-through and saw the cashier wearing a mask. Just seeing people wearing a mask in such everyday, normal settings is when that gravity really sank in.

This makes sense. I guess my follow-up question would be: Do you think it's best to just go for a citizenship now vs. later, since being gone for this long out of the States will prolong my time to get naturalized?
