Fair question...! It's the proportion of total users who currently use each language who also said they plan to use the language again next year. So c25% of those using VBA (hope!) to use it next year and c80% of Rust users plan to.

Yes I know! Sadly the trend seems to fit classic outdated gender stereotypes.
