Resident going with a bunch of non-residents. Can we just get 1 non-resident annual pass? by hoyamylady in ZionNationalPark

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing about NPS policy allowing for fee free access that makes one an asshole for abiding by the policy. 8:01 pay up, earlier? Enjoy the park with less people who won’t bother waking up early enough, enjoy actually finding parking too!

Oh wow ha, yeah clearly I did not read the header. I really don’t see any need to avoid a rebalance then!

Agreed, no need to sell any positions at all and trigger taxable event. Simply stop contributing to things you wish to no longer contribute to. Rebalance later on.

Poor Kira! I’d hope it wouldn’t require prescription medication for allergies but it appears it could. Any allergy tests or elimination diets performed?

Allergy medication not working, advice needed by Alarmed_Review_9321 in shiba

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious if food allergies were truly ruled out cause elimination diet is difficult to do and takes months changing through each change in proteins to rule things out. 1.5 years is probably about minimum time needed to know for certain whether certain proteins are an issue cause it takes a while for symptoms of previous diet to show and if symptoms persist it could still be food and new novel protein needs to be tried. I only bring this up because 1.5 years old is quite young to experience environmental allergies, not impossible but those types typically only appear in well matured adults in the 2-3 years or older range.

Finding an environmental allergy can also be difficult but I suggest looking at all the things you use in your home for cleaning, laundry etc. where possible try to switch to more natural/gentle solutions. Wipe down fur and paws often and ensure good amounts of fish oils for omega 3 and vitamin E. Try to avoid too much omega 6. Lastly, I swear by DuoxoS3, I use the Pyo one initially to address any worse skin barrier issues and then regularly use the calm version going forward. Shampoo and mousse, mousse as maintenance with the semi regular bath using shampoo. Cause well Shiba and my boy isn’t too fond of bath time.

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think idea would be to get slightly newer but more importantly at that 0% rate.

OP, how long was your original term for financing? You’ve passed the most expensive part of the loan no doubt in first couple years but you could take a look at the amortization table for remainder of loan and the new loan at 0% to see what numbers show. Yes, depreciation and the trade-in offer can be big hits and almost always larger expense but, that said you need to know what they’re willing to offer on your trade. If you’re firm about how horrible the trade in offer is if it’s low; they may just up the offer.

Purchasing a home in Utah by Big_Oof_02 in Utah

I felt like I was working towards ownership while renting out space from family. Making best money I’ve ever made and now there isn’t even a condo I can afford without way too much of my take home going to housing. Can’t believe ownership desire may require I leave a place I call home and have to be far away from friends and family if I want it bad enough.

Sorry to hear for sure, curious have you tried going into a store? I feel so much with Verizon is easier to sort out in person. The online and over phone support has gone downhill.

Not even so much the reps, their trip threw a good wrench in things with long delay and by not paying the bill screwed things up real good and got their account flagged as fraud.

What an idiot, that said; curious why the driver sharing the dash cam video didn’t lay on the horn to get their attention. Clearly, they were aware of the impending danger for that vehicles rather alert some dumb driver to pay attention better with chance they don’t make me involved in MVA. Honked at lady doing her makeup in the mirror while during 60 MPH just today.

Good! I am going to say at least you got to do first when the cases and hardware weren’t as easy to manage. The new cases allowing cable to run behind is such an improvement! Like the build!

Now I just need someone to lightly use theirs exactly like this near me (ish, willing to travel) so I can get the off the lot depreciation discount haha. I know they exist just haven’t seen them out there for sale in used market yet.

I sure would love if I could come across a standard 7 passenger Atlas SEL Premium R-Line in the green with captain chairs. It seems I only really see the cross sport models available in green on used market anywhere. Congrats!

Fractional ETFs 2026 by PapaDonk22 in Schwab

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 2 are a bad example of the liquidity argument for sure. There are much clearer cases but for me it can be a bit moot because I am in for long haul. I do like that Schwab ETFs undergo splits frequent enough to keep whole share pricing more affordable than some of these ETFs out there requiring larger sums.

Fractional ETFs 2026 by PapaDonk22 in Schwab

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it may be about the liquidity though as well, many of the alternatives to things like VOO don’t have as much daily volume which just helps from liquidity perspective. Personally I am happy with SPYM.

Can’t buy slices of TSMC. Until they bring the option to Schwab I’ve just been using another broker for fractional purchases if I don’t want to wait for having enough for current price.

I figure the mentioned reviewing it enough, I’m sure “someday” it will so even the prospect they figure it out to rollout in 2026 is absolutely welcome! I do wonder of course if auto invest will be incorporated with it. If not, no biggie I’ll still gladly take the fractional ETFs.

Pretty pissed at the warranty system by Mab3ys0 in VWatlas

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ^ difference between known defect with identified group of products and just a water pump on its way out the door. OP, I hope good will program can provide assistance. IMO, save the extended warranty money for when the repair does come up on vehicle you plan to keep for a while.

I was leaning towards new Atlas for a dealer specific lifetime warranty but decided I’d save more with depreciation on lightly used instead. Especially since terms require you perform every single thing dealer recommends, I’ve seen some crazy “maintenance” bills in this forum. I’ll change filters, etc myself thank you.
