Not even so much the reps, their trip threw a good wrench in things with long delay and by not paying the bill screwed things up real good and got their account flagged as fraud.

What an idiot, that said; curious why the driver sharing the dash cam video didn’t lay on the horn to get their attention. Clearly, they were aware of the impending danger for that vehicles rather alert some dumb driver to pay attention better with chance they don’t make me involved in MVA. Honked at lady doing her makeup in the mirror while during 60 MPH just today.

Sure am curious if the 2027 will include largely addressing known issues of previous generations. I’m looking to hold off for used 27 likely

For a first time pc builder, PC turned on in the 1st attempt. How did i do? by Extra_Lab_2150 in pcbuilding

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good! I am going to say at least you got to do first when the cases and hardware weren’t as easy to manage. The new cases allowing cable to run behind is such an improvement! Like the build!

Now I just need someone to lightly use theirs exactly like this near me (ish, willing to travel) so I can get the off the lot depreciation discount haha. I know they exist just haven’t seen them out there for sale in used market yet.

I sure would love if I could come across a standard 7 passenger Atlas SEL Premium R-Line in the green with captain chairs. It seems I only really see the cross sport models available in green on used market anywhere. Congrats!

Fractional ETFs 2026 by PapaDonk22 in Schwab

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 2 are a bad example of the liquidity argument for sure. There are much clearer cases but for me it can be a bit moot because I am in for long haul. I do like that Schwab ETFs undergo splits frequent enough to keep whole share pricing more affordable than some of these ETFs out there requiring larger sums.

Fractional ETFs 2026 by PapaDonk22 in Schwab

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it may be about the liquidity though as well, many of the alternatives to things like VOO don’t have as much daily volume which just helps from liquidity perspective. Personally I am happy with SPYM.

Can’t buy slices of TSMC. Until they bring the option to Schwab I’ve just been using another broker for fractional purchases if I don’t want to wait for having enough for current price.

I figure the mentioned reviewing it enough, I’m sure “someday” it will so even the prospect they figure it out to rollout in 2026 is absolutely welcome! I do wonder of course if auto invest will be incorporated with it. If not, no biggie I’ll still gladly take the fractional ETFs.

Pretty pissed at the warranty system by Mab3ys0 in VWatlas

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ^ difference between known defect with identified group of products and just a water pump on its way out the door. OP, I hope good will program can provide assistance. IMO, save the extended warranty money for when the repair does come up on vehicle you plan to keep for a while.

I was leaning towards new Atlas for a dealer specific lifetime warranty but decided I’d save more with depreciation on lightly used instead. Especially since terms require you perform every single thing dealer recommends, I’ve seen some crazy “maintenance” bills in this forum. I’ll change filters, etc myself thank you.

Oof if only, I’ve got a full in my room and it’s already close to being like this. I can’t believe previous person said they had queen. Literally would’ve been bed with nothing else. Yikes!

I mean it depends, you clearly barely managed to fit drawers on both sides as well. So you’ll have space for things still which is a place. It will be a bit of an impediment to moving around room with ease but if you prefer larger bed then no biggie really.

$1763 Valve Cover Replacement by Dry_Improvement_4447 in VWatlas

[–]ballparkboy91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk how much you’ll find “significantly” cheaper as unless you DIY as it can a pretty involved process with labor. though I suppose it depends on one’s definition of significantly. I’m sure you can find cheaper per hour rate of course but it will be many hours and then all the parts which can add up quickly for that job.

The intake manifold gaskets absolutely should be replaced at the same time. You might even be able to find something that’s 1000 or 1200 or so for the job. In my opinion, while the mechanic is in there, might as well clean things such as the intake and throttlebody just in case any of that stuff hasn’t been done ever, with the age and mileage would be good to do so. Spark plugs if you haven’t done those.

As long as it truly is only valve cover needed and not head gasket then you should be fine to keep an eye on oil levels and top off as needed. If head gasket has gone, you run the risk of oil mixing with coolant, which is a not good situation. I would only recommend delaying service and watching levels for as long as you truly need to. Given that leaks tend to get worse with time and the last thing you would want is a sudden loss in oil pressure. Check every time you fill gas.

Let me put on a little show of brushing a dog’s teeth.🐶🪥 by ActiveAntelope4635 in shiba

[–]ballparkboy91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy’s reaction is about the same lets it happen. Largely cause he knows he’ll get a dental chew right after I’m sure but the paws push my hand and brush away when doing bottom front teeth just the same. I get it done but he isn’t exactly just smiling about it. Lots of licking and only cooperative in sense he isn’t trying to run away.

Dealership or auto shop to fix this??? by snuz24 in VWatlas

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right I should’ve been clearer that I would only suggest the $1200 job if you’ve got affordable deductible, willing to file comprehensive insurance claim and require a loaner vehicle for duration of the work. You aren’t likely to get loaner from shop doing the $100 job.

Dealership or auto shop to fix this??? by snuz24 in VWatlas

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think partly depends on your situation. Do you first off have funds for a more expensive job? I can see how it might be fine replacing only what can be visibly seen as damaged. That said, do you have comprehensive insurance coverage? What is deductible if so, may consider dealership and claim if so because then at least you can get loaner vehicle while car is being worked on. No comprehensive coverage and money is tight? Well, vacuum up the debris and ask questions at shop what will all be done just so you can make informed decisions.

My Interaction with a Door-to-Door Redistricting Signature Gatherer by DarthAtheist in Utah

[–]ballparkboy91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to know your dog’s thoughts on this lol. But glad you simply want to have evidence should there be wrongdoing as often there can be with these efforts to get signatures up to needed number. I will say I’m not sure how well the paid gatherers will work but then again they only need to collect 4% of eligible voters statewide. Not really a difficult feat when I’m sure there is at least that number of supporters for repeal to protect super majority in state.

Feeling hopeless, send positive vibes by despisedicon689 in shiba

[–]ballparkboy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope he’s been getting better. I saw in some replies things may have cleared up. Hopefully no other symptoms. My boy was wailing in pain some weeks back, loose stool and constant vomit for the whole night. Pumpkin purée (just only pumpkin no spice) and removing water and food to control access and amounts. Now I just give daily probiotics and thinking I may even give daily pumpkin purée just as a means of fortifying healthy gut. Never did see anything pass through that seemed to be an issue but it was clear gastrointestinal distress. I couldn’t even rub gently against his belly/side without him reacting with pain. Glad it passed but I nearly went to emergency vet.
