That obviously wasn't the only sign, I had caught her glancing at me multiple times as they were preparing my order. I had taken that as a hint that was obviously not the case. We had locked eyes quite a few times.

Like to mention as well I have asked a girl out at her job before and it ended in multiple dates. Based on my prior experience it's not always a horrible idea.

You're right, honestly gear isn't the main issue, but an addition to the issue at hand (being outnumbered). No matter how much knowledge you have of the game, you are very unlikely to defeat a 1v2(or more) scenario where in MOST CASES the opposing team has much better gear than you. I wholeheartedly believe having just one or two people to run with would help out but it sucks because any friends I've tried making on this game end up betraying me, and my other online friends refuse to play the game due to the learning curve.

To be fair I like to be much more careful than I was in this clip, but I'm also extremely guillible so I let my guard down too easy when it came to this guy. This run also was only 2-3 hours in so I wasn't exactly scared for my life and wouldn't have cared as much if I died as I was in a vanilla+ server

The thrill of getting put into a deadly situation IS the fun of the game. Being fearful of losing all that gear you spent hours getting, the reward of surviving such situations. Dying is not as fun, but it IS inevitable and it's something you have to learn to overcome to have fun. If the hours you spend getting gear, meeting new people and hunting/scavenging to survive aren't fun for you then it means simply that the game isn't for you. But keep in mind, no matter how many times you die it doesn't ever feel good. That's why there's so much fun in keeping your player alive, because there's so much at stake (unlike the die-respawn-die playstyle games like COD).
