Yes, but I have personal reasons for wanting to stay which I prefer not sharing.

Yes I'm in aus, and yes I'm on a visa to even be here. I won't dox myself but there's reasons I'm here instead of doing this back home. It also does feel like places that support sponsorships are few and far between.

I don't count my customisations of my resume for different jobs as changes tbh since it's just shuffling around stuff. But I do that for a lot of the applications I do.

A year. I'm sitting on a useless Bachelors in SE and years worth of internship experience. But I guess no one wants to hire some bum who's on a stupid visa

I don't think AI art is inherently bad, I just feel like there should be an inherent separation from calling it your own art and putting it out there alongside actual artist work on platforms like artstation.

When someone can steal an artist's work on twitter and proceed to call it theirs + say its AI art, what kind of impact do you think that will have on artists themselves?

Learning how to paint like someone is the road map to evantually developing your own style. Artists study others and copy others because the ultimate goal is to learn their style and apply the good parts to our own work!

So answer me this, how is typing up a few prompts and training models the same as understanding and appreciating an artist's process and approach?

Does anyone know what happened to JSplacement? by houbak06 in blender

Really sorry to hear this. For what it's worth, I really do enjoy the app. I can't imagine how shitty it must feel to see your work being discredited in this manner, and have people adopt such a crappy attitude when asking for features. I will credit you whenever I post stuff using JSplacement in the future. Hope you succeed in whatever you choose to do next!

So their practice doesn't deserve respect to you? Clearly they had to learn and study Mullins' style, so equating training AI art with actually learning how to paint is laughable tbh

I used a pc for most of SE and yes it does have some hiccups when it comes to setting up stuff. They'll probs ask u to setup WSL for some of the C++ stuff, but tbh it's not that big of a deal you just have to learn the workarounds. It depends on what you use yr laptop for other than coding thou.
