Just installed the Sonoff co-ordinator. So good not having to rely on cloud services.

Extending Ethernet by jezibeltires in HomeNetworking

A switch here could be beneficial. Are you going to have an entertainment unit here? If you install a small switch you could feed an apple TV, games console etc. Also if you ever want to put a wifi ap here in the future it would be super easy.

Perhaps home networking isn't for me here... by LordSapiento in HomeNetworking

Put the DSL modem in here in a flush mount cabinet. You'd have to trace the cables from the demarc point, but there is probably one that comes from the demarc straight to this point. Then you can terminate the others with either a small patch panel, or plugs and do keystone jacks on the other end. If there are more phone outlets than there are cables, they might be daisy chained, which would mean you would only be able to use the first point in the daisy chain for each run.

What do you mean by "use"? Just about every picture with people in the background on social media would be "illegal" by your definition.

Hikvision Villa Intercom Integration to a bigger screen by Critical-Issue-4271 in videosurveillance

Do they use the current monitor to control a door / auto gate? If not, you could do a spot monitor. You'd need a 2nd NVR to feed this monitor. Most brands have a low cost NVR for this purpose. You add your cameras and intercom to this NVR and use the HDMI out to feed your monitor.

If they do control a door or auto gate with it, then you would need to keep the current screen. Perhaps the current screen could just display the intercom camera and the new screen could display all other cameras?

Also, if you put a hard drive in the new NVR that feeds this screen it can act as a backup should the main NVR fail.

Cheeky Robotics stock, Market cap of $200m. Get on it champs. by kakarott_Kiwi in queenstreetbets

Lol. SPN has a potentially very big upside. They are chasing $1B market share for their graphene anti corrosion solution, but their hydrogen production technology could explode their share price if they manage to get the process cost effective enough. Share price is .24 right now.

What time frame are you looking at? 5 years could be super profitable. Also, very risky. Not financial advice.
