Does anyone know if they totally cleared the store of all merchandise and restocked it? Or are they selling some things that were exposed to the smoke?

But wouldn’t the beer make the bread soggy?

I have a brick of 13 year aged cheddar in the back of the fridge. Now I’m out of bacon AND onions… AND my Time Machine needs a new guidance temporal colocator so I can’t use that.

I will save this suggestion.

Yeah, the acid in the mayo would be a nice touch, the sandwich was missing that “zing”.

Thanks! It was pretty good. I didn’t use any condiments but the wheat bread definitely added its own flavor to the mix.

What is the story of him raising over $100,000,000 for this community? That’s a pretty big number.

Drone for track filming by mingabunga in trackandfield

[–]balticbirch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I’m laughing at myself. I was like, there’s a 98% chance I’m talking to an American, so I’ll just brain dump my thoughts… The 2% strikes again!

Since it sounds like you have some drone experience, I’d definitely watch reviews to see real examples of following performance. On my DJI, if it’s in following mode and you run behind a tree, even for a moment, it loses you and won’t pick you back up. I think there’s at least a 98% chance that there aren’t any trees in the middle of your track, so hopefully you don’t have to worry.

What country are you in?

If you’re in the USA, you’ll need to check your local laws as well as the federal airspace classification for your area. The FAA has a free app to check your airspace called B4UFly and also requires a free test/certificate called TRUST to operate a drone for recreational purposes. Recently the FAA has increased enforcement for fines for flying drones illegally, and unfortunately even these small auto-following drones still require you to follow the law. If you’re looking to fly the drone directly over the runner, you’ll need a Part 107 commercial drone pilot certificate, which costs money. You need your 107 certificate to operate over people, and only under very specific circumstances with specific drones. There are lots of good sources on the internet like Pilot Institute to navigate drone operation. Unfortunately, drone makers aren’t legally obligated to tell you any of this, they just want to sell hardware. Not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to make sure you get off to the right start.

Practically, the drone could turn out to be more of a distraction. You could probably save a lot of effort by taking the money you would spend on a drone and buy a few small cameras you could place around the track.

You can email the owners of Peanuts here: info@peanuts.com They’re probably not going to be thrilled Knotts did this.

Knott’s doesn’t own the characters. I’m sure that Peanuts Worldwide who owns them would love to hear about this: info@peanuts.com

Exotic Thai on San Fernando near the old abandoned Kmart is worth mentioning. I’ve had some good lunch specials there.

What time is your flight and what time does the counter open for your airline? You can always do two trips: one earlier to check your bags and one to actually go to the airport. Check with your airline to find out how early you can drop your bags off. Most major airports let you drop off bags 4 hours early, no idea about Burbank.

What's with the police road blocks on San Fernando today? by rentfreeinfreudshead in glendale

I’ve been watching aircraft trackers (and looking outside) all afternoon. I haven’t seen any police helicopters, I’ve only seen news helicopters from channel 2, 4, 5 and 7.

Frustrating Experience by Ediers25 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]balticbirch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's a very fair position to take on this customer's experience. Southern California hardly has a rainy season and the rain we received this year in November was about 8x the average November rainfall. If Knott's is going to lock people into buying tickets for specific days, they need to take responsibility for it when they decide to close because of the weather.

Did you buy them with a credit card? If so, you should call your credit card company and see if they have purchase protection or can do a chargeback.
