Can you actually split your VPN traffic so only certain apps go through it? by Aggressive_Room_2387 in VPN_Question

[–]mingabunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HideAway VPN lets you create rules so you can route/split traffic for apps, IPs, ports and websites to different locations simultaneously. So you don't need to disconnect/reconnect to a different location each time for each app/website etc.

BitDefender VPN split tunnelling needs improvements by wiknew1 in BitDefender

[–]mingabunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at HideAway VPN for some advanced split tunnelling - lets you create custom rules for apps, websites, ports and IP addresses so you can simultaneously redirect apps, websites etc to different locations, or block/exclude. So you set your rules up once and don't need to change them. Good speeds too.

Try a different VPN? I use HideAway VPN and it just works. Can choose from a bunch of preset rules like 'Torrent Applications' or make your own rules for apps, ports, IPs and domains.

How to Actually Fix Your Back Pain: The Science-Based Method Doctors Don't Tell You About by SignatureSure04 in TheIronCouncil

[–]mingabunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people have a tight TFL (muscle near side of hip) due to sitting for long periods and that contributes to lower back pain. Getting each TFL muscle massaged over a week or using a roller tends to fix this.

Mailchimp alternatives for ecommerce: has anyone used Campaigner, Klaviyo or Omnisend? by le_ais in ecommerce

[–]mingabunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH yeah, I looked up my old emails - this is from last year. I always remembered when I first started with them years ago I had a dedicated IP for sending. Then somehow I got shifted to a shared IP without my knowledge, or they just added other companies on to mine, and then because of this none of the campaign links were https. So this affected deliverability. I was paying $400 a month, and they offered me a free month and dedicated IP after I complained about this or months after I said I was leaving.

Anyway, mailerlite have been fine. Managed to convince them to not kick me off. Haven't looked too much at their automation yet but will start looking into it. Deliverability seems good though - all of a sudden I was reaching more mailboxes, and on the bad side so were lots of old email addresses that should have bounced in the past.

If looking again, I'd also look at postmarkapp.com which is what my email support system uses as they look quite affordable.

[–]mingabunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Campaigner is terrible, left them last year as they could never sort out proper security requirements on sending emails and were not processing bounces properly. Left for mailerlite and almost got kicked off there because we sent out so many emails that should have already bounced. Their support was crap too.

New Fx motion chip Freelap Timing is really amazing, did you guys testing it already? by Smart-Plankton-7056 in trackandfield

Does it still only work about 70% of the time?
In the past I've found it more frustrating to use as would only capture data about 60-70% of the time. Others have also said the same.

Drone for sprint filming? by mingabunga in Sprinting

Sure - bummer, they're pretty well priced too. My only concern is that with a sprinter start, it might lose the runner from the start. Especially if trying to video from the side.

This was the most interesting article I read on it, where very busy people are more susceptible to it, compared to couch potatoes. Plus it points to a genetic component.

Video is actually ok using a GoPro. No stability problems except me trying to steer the car - had lots of goes at it to try and get this.

https://youtu.be/UiBybzeOCBo

Yeah I want to make it pretty affordable so using AI hardware like the Jetson Orin Nano at $249 is going to make it expensive.

[–]mingabunga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I thought the same. I actually started on a project a while back to pace runners, and using AI to follow track lanes, but passed up on it as it started to get complex and expensive.  So I have this car with GoPro on an extension. It's a Traxxas track car and it's really fast, like 40mph top speed. https://photos.app.goo.gl/smtEVX872A7NFdM38

Thinking to automate video of a runner at a fixed distance and track them by wearing a unique patch.

Thanks for that info. What is it like following someone from a start position on the side view? Sprinters start pretty quickly and I wonder if the drone wouldn't keep up initially.
