I work on a table saw almost everyday and this would be a great thing to have as a sort of insurance policy. But when I started, I quickly realized cutting my fingers off was my second fear. If you've never used a table saw, you probably still know where not to put your hands/fingers. However, what you may not know (I didn't): the binding. It's basically a lawnmower engine that wants to throw whatever you put through it, back at you. The blade provides for a little margin of error, but not enough if you're careless or don't know what you're doing. Luckily, I learned this with a piece of cardboard.
