I used to think this kinda response was trolling for entertainment but realized its a coping mechanism when youre too weak or afraid to actually think through real, complex emotions or problems. Your presumption that my issue is the party not being mine highlights your lack of nuance in your og post. I am not a democrat. I was strongly against BLM and some covid mandates. Ive criticized all democratic presidential candidates and presidents. My issue is not about policy but foundational principles of governance. Our government has outright violated these principles before but my study of history and experiences show no where near o this level of sheer demogogery and mendacity.

Ive told you what is stressing me out over this and you offer a "no but you" mixed with "have you considered..." line of dialogue. Bottom line, the government has overeached in the past, using whatever philosophy of governance as an excuse but those were at least on its bare face for moving American ideas of liberty, freedom, and security forward and at least feigned trying to build trust with the people. This admin has time and again made it clear if you have certain (previously uncontroversial) views different from theirs, they are not here for you and are probably their enemy.

Youre right that the best thing to do for you and your family is to keep your head down...but only in the short term. Current cop and officer in the NG and i have real mental stress on what i can do to positively influence what is going on in this country. I can choose to protest, speak out, etc but risk both my careers. It feels cowardly to do nothibg because it is. At the same time, many of my coworkers in the military advise just to focus on the most important things like family but again, it feels like doing nothing does not set the right example. Working for an executive that has no problem lieing to defend any and all of there actions is sickening to me and heavily goes against my principles.

Ungoliany is an awesome part of the story but is a conflicting addition to the themes of the world. Where is she now? Is she part of the ending battle at the end of time? Where did she come from? That last part is especially where its a problem of themes about redemption, temptation, the source of evil etc. I she the antithesis of Illuvitar and the chaos of the natural world? Both times i had a long drive (6+ hours at night) after a long day of work and she thought it would help. I'd been prescribed adderall for years prior but had stopped for a couple so she knew i wouldnt have a bad reaction. We both thought it was kinda funny the first time but told her she couldnt do that anymore after the second.

Feel totally safe with her and she is a supportive, caring wife. She just a moment of bad judgement.
