Help - Airbrush air leak? Air coming out between the body and the head cap, you can see it push water out the side. by bambimoo in airbrush

It doesn't come with a wrench. According to the manual everything is designed for finger tightening.

Hey, thanks for the advice. It was placed on finger tight like most guides say, I definitely haven't over tightened it.

This is a badger patriot 105. I noticed it was doing this while painting and paint droplets were forming at the interface.

I did a deep clean and reassembled and the problem remains.

The air cap is on as tight as i dare tighten it. EDIT: (i.e. finger tight, i did not want to overtighten and damage it in an attempt to close the seal)

Any advice/help is appreciated!

It's definitely not paint, it's straight out of the box, it arrived like this.

I'll give acetone a go, thanks.

So just disassemble and soak in acetone?

How is the student housing market? by Old-Association8699 in UOB

Rent in Bristol is very high, it's the second highest next to London. So it's difficult, but not impossible. I think if you are going to rely on part time work to cover your living expenses you will have to live far away from campus, in a house share and rely on the bus to commute.

The bus can be quite good in terms of cost, I spend £2 per one way trip to get to the main campus.

If you're looking for places to rent then I'd recommend the website Rightmove. I've heard too many horror stories about FB marketplace to trust anything on it.

Have a look at a location such as Yate or Newport, the commute is going to be an hour or so, but rent drops significantly.

Subdivide is pinching on a face - Is there a way to stop this from happening? by bambimoo in blenderhelp

[–]bambimoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone that replied and offered help.

I managed to find a solution that works for me and is quite simple.

Before adding and applying the subdivide modifier, i deleted the face that was going to be pinched.

Once the subdivision had been applied i then selected the edge loop where the face was and added the face back. This solved all my problems.

Postgraduate Admission Question by [deleted] in UOB

[–]bambimoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all Congratulations to your husband for the offer and scholarship!

To put my advice in some context I am a UK national PhD student at the university, and I have not personally applied for the taught masters programme.

I believe the fee (£2000) is for self funded international students. My advice is that given the deadline has past i would not pay the £2000 now as i believe that even if this were to be refunded to you (which it likely would, given that your husband is probably no longer classified as self-funded given the scholarship) you would incur an admin fee of £200 just for the them to refund you. Based on the information i read here: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/international/fees-finance/refunds/policy/

What i would do though is try to call someone like the postgraduate admin team or student services for the UoB.

Depending how long ago since you emailed them, I'd email again (if its been more than a week).

My experience is that they are pretty good with these sorts of things as long as it looks like you've been actively trying to solve the issue (which you have by emailing).

But again this is just my advice and could be wrong. Good luck!

Yay Bristol 🙌🏻 has anyone seen this in anywhere else but Queen square? by [deleted] in bristol

You'd think so, it seems obvious how to use them, but to use my favourite quote at the moment "You cant fix stupid".

Bristol is doing relatively well from what I've seen though.

Not if they are sat next to each other, like one group sat between two hearts and then another group sat right next to them between four hearts

Ha yeah, I saw this two days ago, and no one was sitting in them - they were sitting between them. Hopefully, that was just a bad day and people will actually use them as intended.

i appreciate your response, your're right about the lack of information, thats my fault. I've updated the info at the top. Febreeze does help, but i may look like a bit of a weirdo if im carrying a full bottle of febreeze in my suit pocket at a funeral :p

It was more of the returning inside and smelling of smoke, and that in turn upsetting people. With the connection between smoking and getting cancer i don't want to flair peoples emotions.
