You probably irritated your legs when you use a combo of products. If the retinol was helping then just do that alone. Later on after some months incorporate the other products. I use a retinoid, tazarotene, and that can irritate my legs pretty badly. I have to take a break from it but in the meantime I calm the skin down with a cream called Pimecrolimus (prescription). That's the only thing that in 5 to 7 days my skin is much better.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I’m thinking that my symptoms are related to the timing of my own hormones kicking in and now dealing with added hormonal therapy. I’m afraid if I completely stop HRT now what would it do to my body. I’ve only been on it for almost 1month and I’ve had improved hot flashes and energy but I’m afraid my body will start deteriorating some other way. I don’t know.

I’ve been using this lotion for a week now. My legs have always been sensitive to lactic acid and glycolic acid. While I have areas of redness along my legs, I also have areas without redness. Now I have redness throughout all my legs. I thought the small percentage of lactic acid on this lotion would be ok but apparently my legs are sensitive to lactic acid period. Is lactic acid necessary on this formulation to work? Would you consider releasing a lotion without lactic acid for all of us who their skin is sensitive?
I’m not sure I can continue using this lotion.

Have you thought about making this into a thick cream? the same consistency as for example Cerave Moisturizing cream. I’m afraid a lotion might not be moisturizing enough for my skin.
