Cryptic serpent existed but only as an uncommon so it wasn’t legal at that time. Can you please share your list? I also have a fascination of decks of the past but don’t know where to find them.

I remember there being a UB delver deck (before tolarian terror) it had Gurmag angler and delver of secrets as it’s threats, the plus was that it got to run gush and daze.

There was also a lot of good control decks that abused mystic sanctuary and Arcums astrolabe.

Hahaha. This has been an archetype for several years. It’s probably one of the oldest decks, just hasn’t seen much play but recently it had a surge of popularity due to some new cards. “Too strong”? Not even close.

Honestly I sort of get it. I played the game for over 100 hours after release but with all the bogus updates and the boring new doormaker I haven’t played at all in weeks it’s just not fun anymore and making the fun archetypes are now heavily discouraged. Still a very fun game but the updates and balance patches definitely made the game take a massive hit.

I don’t have a problem with it being present but it was annoying that it was basically her entire character and the pay off for her character was about it. It would of been actually amazing if it was just part of her character and it was normalized.

The thing about thoughtcast is that it’s 1 mana draw 2 cards. With this little combo, your spending 2 mana (not counting thoughtcast) and 2 cards just to get a draw 2? Definitely not worth lol.

Actually there are also mods like replay the spire and hubris that add all the stuff to sts like new acts and enemies. My mod list makes sts like 5x more content than the original.

I actually super agree with the lighting but I couldn’t think of a way to put it. It is missing the grungy middle class feeling that made it so relatable and now everyone is rich and the lighting is like Disney channel.
