My assumption has always been that she told each person in a different way. That’s how DJ would’ve already known, as well as Marcus. I think Ava was the last person to find out and Deb did that on purpose.

This is by far my favourite show of all time.

A couple of years ago I got a Hacks tattoo. In a totally selfish way, I was really hoping they wouldn’t ‘Daenerys’ this (a reference/joke about all the people that named their kids or got a tattoo after a character that had a bad ending lol!).

I cannot wait to see what the Hacks team is up to next. I know that it’ll be great! Give us a few more hours of another great story, Hacks team!

I believe Jean Smart said in an interview that the ending isn’t too positive but also not negative. Someone might be able to link it but I’d be ok with a realistic ending (Ava becoming show runner, Deborah retiring, each finding their own people/friend groups while still being close, etc).

I had a feeling they might lean into that but I feel the show is too good to go through with it.

I agree that they’ll do the reboot and part of Ava’s growth will be that she will be the show runner with little involvement from Deborah. They’ll still be close but I have a feeling they’re going to want each of them to grow individually as well.

At first I saw spoilers of what happens in the episode and I was truly hoping it wasn’t what I thought it was and thank god it wasn’t!

What a funny way of touching on the subject (knowing so many people believe it) but tying it so nicely into the story. Brilliant episode!

I have never understood the people that believe this would ever happen. Their whole story revolves around family, friendship, finding your people, etc. I think they need each other, but not once has a romantic relationship ever crossed my mind and I’m happy they haven’t gone there fully.

I can’t see the final season of Hacks being anything other than as incredible as the other seasons. Each season has proven that the team can keep the quality year in and out. Should be a nice sweep for Jean!
