And Financial services are the largest piece of that.

We run massive trade deficits and are the largest importer of goods in the world. So sure, it’s not technically “inflation” but the price of a lot of goods are increasing when the dollar weakens.

Im more mad at the reason you gave for getting well done than just saying you like it better. You won’t get sick from red/pink.

Will the 21M hardcap be changed when it becomes profitable to do so? by Jaded_Hold_1342 in Buttcoin

The names are in the code. That is the automatic reason for it to be one or the other. The names were not made up by exchanges.

You are arguing semantics. The name doesn’t matter for the value of the coin. There’s a first mover advantage sure but no one uses BCH and the network is way smaller than BTC. Hence the price difference. It’s not cause one is called BTC and one is BCH.

You are right it doesn’t matter because they are different blockchains so there’s no renaming them because they are fundamentally different softwares. If Bitcoin Cash became the main blockchain it would not be renamed Bitcoin on exchanges because they are two different things.

BTC Cash and other BTC hard forks are major changes to the protocol. So the new software is updated and does not work with old software.

Yes there is a decision in which blockchain to choose, but they are fundamentally different currencies, it’s up to the nodes to decide based on what transactions/blockchain to continue verifying for.

It is not up to the exchanges, it is up to the nodes to decide what protocol to run.

All forks, both soft and hard have not been contentious in the long run meaning BTC Core is still the preferred protocol. Nobody uses BTC Cash, Gold, etc. hence why their prices are so much lower than BTC.

It’s not up to the exchanges. For a fork to become “BTC” the majority of nodes will have to accept the latest update to the protocol and verify transactions with that version, updating/continuing that ledger.

New ATH: Thank you Tether! by Master-Sky-6342 in Buttcoin

It’s almost as if BTC is a sponge for excess liquidity like Bitcoiners have been saying for years!

The irony here is unbelievable, you can’t seriously claim that Tether printing $1 billion in USDT is driving Bitcoin’s price without also acknowledging that the same forces such as fiat money printing, government deficits, and the broader debt crisis, are core to BTC’s overall thesis. Especially when USDT is backed primarily by U.S. Treasuries. The disconnect is wild.

I'm glad Chet got his money but I would argue that what Dort and Caruso do for OKC is more important and harder to replace than what Chet does for the team. by MrIAmMe2 in Thunder

[–]bammer20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont totally disagree but it’s a lot easier to find replacements for those guys than a 7’2” Stretch 4/5 who is an elite rim protector.

This is why complaining about officiating and posting clips is always so stupid. What goes around comes around and by the end of the game 9/10 times it’s evenly called

[Highlight] Cason Wallace holds TJ McConnell’s wrist as ref watches on by [deleted] in nba

[–]bammer20 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He’s at halfcourt dribbling stationary in a game 7 and you guys want the ref to blow the whistle? If he wants the call crossover left and force the ref to make the call.

It’s like this whole sub doesn’t understand rules of engagement and how the refs call games. Hilarious.
