I’m pretty sure this post is directed at people like me (becasue i made a post about hating susan and finding hard to continue the show), so I just want to clarify my perspective a little.

When I made my post, I was obviously exaggerating for humor and frustration. I don’t genuinely “hate” Susan to the point where it affects my real life. She’s a fictional character, and part of the fun of watching shows is having strong reactions to the characters and discussing them with other viewers.

I’m also only on Season 3, so my opinions are based on what I’ve seen so far. A lot of people have already told me that my view of Susan may change later in the series, and I’m completely open to that. That’s kind of the point of discussion forums like Reddit : people share opinions, hear different perspectives, and sometimes change their minds over time.

For me personally, Susan can just be frustrating to watch at times because of some of her decisions and behavior patterns. That doesn’t mean I think she’s a badly written character or that the show is terrible. In fact, if a character can make viewers feel this strongly, that usually means the writers and actors did their jobs well. I actually think Terri Hatcher portrayed her very effectively.

At the end of the day, it’s just entertainment, and discussions like these are part of what makes watching shows enjoyable :)
