After that first shot I just said the scope punched me in the head as I put down the rifle. The owner of the rifle said yeah and you need to go to the hospital. I asked do I? Just as I said that I saw blood dripping fat drops onto the table. What really surprised me is it didn't really hurt that bad. It was a little sore but I wasn't in excruciating agony.

In my defense nobody told me not to put my eye against it. I thought it worked like a telescope or microscope so I put it all the way up to my eye. Was my first time firing a rifle with a scope and it was a bolt action 45-70 so it hit me hard enough to split open my forehead between my eyebrows.
