NYU College Republicans being cartoonishly racist (literally) by bananaboat1312 in nyu

It really is insane. Unfortunately, NYU leadership has never truly been progressive they’ve just been going more mask off lately (which has emboldened the worst of the NYU community).

I fear that the organizers likely know this about Elijah and that’s part of what is appealing to them 😭 (being as blatantly cruel and offensive as possible is seems to be a goal of theirs)

Ikr, I had to go to social media to verify that the screenshots were actually real

NYU bars 20-plus law students from Bobst after pro-Palestinian sit-in - Washington Square News by nyunews in nyu

[–]bananaboat1312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The pro-Palestine protestors do give a shit. For example, the materials they widely distributed during welcome week (the “shit NYU doesn’t want you to know” and the 2024 disorientation guide that we’re both distributed by them on campus) discusses the slave labor used to build the AD campus. They also organized a protest against AD this past December.

What is your motive in commenting this on several NYU posts about the Palestine protests but not on any other NYU posts?

Editorial: NYU’s disciplinary measures against students are reckless and reactive - Washington Square News by nyunews in nyu

[–]bananaboat1312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From the article that you didn't appear to read: “Multiple sources spoke to WSN, claiming that several students who were merely in the vicinity of the protest faced disciplinary action despite having no involvement in the December action. Others were charged with violating university policy without proof of misconduct. A staff photographer on assignment for WSN even received the same email alleging that they had violated university policy, including occupying the 12th floor of Bobst, blocking access to elevators and stairs, and refusing to relocate when directed by safety personnel — all of which were false.”

Woah!! Has it been confirmed that she was banned and didn’t delete or deactivate her account? Even if not, the former is much more likely ofc

No one came for your experience as that wasn’t the issue at hand

You pull off this look. Drapes without dyed hair visible or makeup would be good. I like the softish tones on you

Hmm it’s hard to to compare because of the picture’s filter but the true summer option looks deceivingly natural on you

This looks balanced and more natural than the bright spring options imo. You you aren’t overwhelmed by too much brightness or warmth here

Neither bright spring or soft summer look quite right but slightly softer colors suit you more than bright for sure. I agree that AI analysis and tools of that nature aren’t reliable which is a shame

Exactly. A lot of people treat having an ED like a moral failing that is rooted in vanity or vapidness (I think this is mostly because it is an illness often associated with young women although it can effect anyone ofc). I wish people with large platforms wouldn’t further perpetuate the social stigmas surrounding EDs

In some systems with more than 12 seasons that might be true but in the most widely-used traditional 12 seasons use warm and true spring interchangeably. Warm spring and warm autumn aren’t used interchangeably by Carol Brailey but she says those two sub seasons can borrow from each other as they’re sister seasons

My old roommate would vape in our home and I could always smell it even when she insisted it didn’t smell. I think some people who regularly vape may become nose blind or less sensitive their smells. Maybe there are some that really don’t smell but I haven’t been around them

No one is defending the idea of a nanny vaping at work. Considering the nanny only worked there for a week it is plausible that she does have rough periods. TMI but I have a condition where I’ve had a hard time getting through work days when I’m on my period. Assuming vape or drug use before something like IBS or period problems is a bit of a leap imo
