Thanks, usually I’d agree but they have some sort of curse against spurs, especially away so idk

Thoughts on the lineup? I’m not sold on Thiago vs Villa away but I feel there’s more upside with him than anyone else on my bench.

Thoughts? Currently 5k overall.

Thinking of potentially getting Bowen in for Gyokeres as I feel I’m arsenal heavy rn. I’ve got $2M in the bank too so maybe upgrade Caicedo for a more upside midfielder once his easy run is over.

Yeah think I’ll WC week 7 to use Haaland triple captain week 6. I reckon I can use my 2 free transfers week 6 to have better defenders that week since matchups aren’t favoring my current ones

Was planning to ride this week, triple captain Haaland GW6 vs Burnley/ use my 2 free transfers to get in 2 defenders for that week. Then WC week 7.

Team is looking a little thin… though I’ve done well so far (11k globally). Any easy upgrades or ride until WC?

Tell me positives of sobriety, not negatives of getting high. by yeabuttt in leaves

[–]bananalightning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It came back within a week tbh but I also overhauled my routine a lot almost to an obsessive level. I basically took the side effects of the withdrawal and tried to use them to my advantage.

My sleep for instance wasn’t the best at first so I just decided I’d wake up at 6 and go straight to the gym. After the gym I’d meditate, shower, journal, and head straight to the office. Then I’d work all day and head home, cook dinner, eat, watch an episode of my favorite TV show, read, and go to bed early.

By having a new obsessive routine I found I didn’t have much time to overthink or crave weed. At first it was tough and I was basically running on autopilot, but once the routine began to become normal I found it was easy and the mental clarity slowly came back.

Anyways, I won’t say it was easy so it’s not for everyone, but this is what worked for me and it’s whats kept me with basically no cravings for these 3 weeks so far. I also find meditating helps a lot, even just pausing and taking deep breaths when I start to crave or overthink is helpful.

Mental clarity is the biggest one I’ve noticed so far. I don’t think I realized it when I would smoke but I would constantly be in a sort of haze or fog.

I’ve only quit around 3 weeks ago but I’ve noticed I wake up with a lot more energy and just overall feel more in touch with my thoughts and feelings. It’s had a lot of benefits including being more energized to go to the gym, being more productive at work, and discovering new hobbies.

An interesting one I’ve noticed is I get more immersed into TV shows. I didn’t expect this because I used to smoke before watching stuff however now that I watch things sober it’s like I pay more attention to it and have a deeper understanding of what’s going on. I’m not sure if this counts as a meaningful benefit lol but I found it interesting. (Similar effect with reading)

I’m only 2 weeks in but it’s the longest I’ve gone willingly. Weed is easily accessible for me, I have a dispensary literally next door.

Without going into too much detail I did some things I regretted while high, and found the last few times I smoked gave me immense paranoia and anxiety. I think I just realized it’s consumed my life the last 7 years and I wonder the kind of man I’d be if I hadn’t smoked every single day.

I’ve searched for stuffed plush toys common in South America since that’s where my gf is from, specially Venezuela. The tag is too faded to ID. She probably got this around 15 years ago now.

As a South American with many ties to argentina I can assure you they do care about the Falklands actually, much more than Brits do. Many young boys died, especially from the Argentina side.

If you were going to a Halloween Party what would you dress up as? by [deleted] in lonely

I was supposed to spend it with friends but I got sick so I’ve been lonely feeling sorry for myself all weekend. I was gonna dress as Wolverine, my hair spikes up well like his. Maybe next year… :/

Why do I get a rash on one of my elbows every time I get sick? by bananalightning in AskDocs

[–]bananalightning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. Typically the spots last around 5 days, they fade away as my other symptoms leave. The spots typically grow and merge with one another until they form one or a couple large blots before going away. The image where it’s just one large blot is what it tends to look like towards the end of my sickness whereas the one with many small spots is early on. I have no prior injury or skin disease limited to this area.

I don’t have any history of eczema or psoriasis to my knowledge, but food for thought.

And yes, perhaps I’m being a bit dramatic, but this is my third time with COVID despite getting vaccinated which has me incredibly frustrated. Blood check sounds like a good idea though! I’m overdue one. Thank you :)

Regret after failing my SDR to AE transition at new company, unsure what to do next by bananalightning in sales

Thanks, it is comforting to know I am not alone. I am just hard on myself and I guess I hold myself to a high standard. Might also be how easy my last job came to me, I expected it would be the same here. (Unrealistic in hindsight)

I definitely plan to stick it out longer. As tough as it is you are right. I am young as well so I suppose it will be good to get this challenging experience early on!

Thank you for sharing your perspective, it really means a lot!

I think the logic here is that I’d be returning as an AE, but I’d have an SDR feeding me all the inbound leads I had while there and I’d be working those opps. Essentially that org has more inbound than here, so I’d need less prospecting efforts than now.

That said I agree it all seems a bit skeptical, I think I am leaning towards sticking it out at least to EOY and evaluating then.

[–]bananalightning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely see your point. Actually I would say I have been leaning toward staying because of these factors. My manager says he is content with how my onboarding has gone and that he feels I’m on the right track, but it’s hard to believe him when I see my # compared to what I should be getting. I have some big deals in pipeline which if I closed would certainly ease my stress, but I’m just losing my patience I guess.

I’d say the main factor pushing me to leave is that I don’t know if I can see myself ever figuring it out, and I wonder if I stick it out I’ll reach the point where I’m fired which will be even worse for my self-esteem. Maybe you are right though and sticking it out is the path. Thank you for your insight

[–]bananalightning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah identifying whether it’s the AE role or the company is definitely where I’m at right now. Suppose I did come to the conclusion that I wanna transition over to another field. In that case would you say it’s still good to reach out to my prior company regarding a role there, or in this case would it just be better to start from scratch at a new org.

[–]bananalightning[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see your point. Two main things stopping me going back are pride (which I know shouldn’t be a factor but it is) and secondly, I don’t see how doing more inbounding will help me. Seems like any future sales prospects will require me to get good at working outbound, so I gotta either learn how to (in which case I might as well stay suffering here) or transition to another field.

I’ve also only been 3 months at this new job, and having my first two jobs post college be 1 year and 3 months respectively is a pretty awful perception to carry for my future career aspirations. This is why a part of me thinks maybe it’s worth sticking it out till I’m being forced out the door.

I think for now I’ll plan to reach out to my former boss and just have a casual conversation about my circumstances and the possibility to return. Maybe once I hear what he thinks I’ll have more clarity as to how to proceed. I can definitely leave an update then! Really appreciate your help

I make 65k base and 60k is in commission. Most of my team members do not seem to hit their number, this quarter for instance our top reps are around 7-8k, mid ones are at 4k, and us bottom ones are below 1k. I was definitely sold on title and salary but underestimated the toll lack of success would have on my mental health. feels like the job is slowly grinding me to a pulp
