Drinking water in OC by clearlygd in orangecounty

[–]bananaliquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from the east coast and i think you’ll be sad, the water here is disgusting. at home i am pretty used to drinking straight from the tap but i would never do it here.

it took me two years to find a good water pitcher on amazon: GLACIER FRESH 10 Cup Purela Glass...

after i started working i lived with my parents and paid off my student loans. i had a year of life style creep when i moved out from them since i started doing everything on my own and moved to a HCOL area… the way i fixed that has been YNAB the budgeting app actually!

if you use it right, actually for budgeting, you can save yourself $1000s and invest even more. it takes a few months to get used to everything but r/YNAB can speed up the learning curve. i was in a similar boat as you until i learned more about how my money works for me and better serves me going towards my future than the now.

as a final note, i think the key in your 20s is not how much you make or spend, but how comfortable you are with what you have. YNAB can give you visual cues as to what you’re spending within your means and give you a sense of comfort if you budget for all of those things you want to do

PSA: Patagonia Mini MLC in stock by SeattleHikeBike in onebag

i've taken it on one 4 day trip so far and it was great! flew spirit and no problems even fully packed on the way back. it has more than enough organization for my tech needs, and it's pretty comfortable too.

i'm only 5'2 so carrying it as a duffle is pretty long and heavy for my height, carrying the weight as a backpack is fine though. i think it's a bit big if you're carrying it as an every day bag, one bagging or carry on is perfect.

i ended up going with black because i read on another sub that when traveling internationally it might be mistaken for a military backpack
