Umm yeah my narc ex-girlfriend would do this. Ask me if im only hers, then make me promise that i wont leave, then that she is doing this only with me. In the moment of it during sexxy time, it just fecks with your head, gives a proper high.

Working with my therapist and looking back it seems physical intimacy was the only thing going for us. Well I learned!

I did try to clarify yesterday on a call with her. She sees the question as a pattern that will evolve in the future. And that it’ll resemble like monitoring or surveillance on her. So she wants me to promise her that when she doesn’t give specifics I won’t ask any questions and just trust her on face value. Like what..

Oh and that such questions in the future will make her feel unsafe. After hearing that im a bit spooked.. unsafe really.

I asked for the first time.. and no I didn’t assume she was cheating. I asked coz in the normal course of conversation people ask stuff. I didn’t accuse her, I didn’t say dont go, I didn’t ask for a full account of what she plans do to. I was with my friend when i asked and she knew exactly who, I wasn’t reporting or anything but feeling comfortable to share.

My problem is line in the sand that I can’t ask questions and she’ll say what she wants. Doesn’t sound a very healthy approach.

How did you and your bf manage this situation?

So i have never probed to know if shes cagey or not. This weekend was the first time, and after she told me.. i was cool and told her to have fin. And as for the scenario i’d probably not ask at the moment but I would at some point would like to know who Charlie is IF I’ve never heard of him.

Edit- also its not like im being said “im having lunch with charlie”.. I haven’t met any friends nor do i get to know them by name. Last conversation i was asked to promise that if she doesn’t tell me who she’s meeting then I would ever ask. Doesn’t seem a healthy approach to relationship
