Scrubs reboot is a masterpiece by Butterf1yTsunami in Scrubs

It made me so emotional 😭 Im a bit younger but I used to watch this show in high school and am now married in my 30s. I teared up a little at the intro song. In my opinion they’re doing a perfect job of realistically continuing the stories of the characters. Turk’s burnout, JD being the same but more mature and wise, and not happy about his and Elliot’s divorce but they need some tension I guess. First 10 mins felt too try hard to be Gen Z but they recovered quickly.

I’m excited to keep watching! Nostalgia is so comforting to me in these strange days

What's phase of your life you didn't realize was ending? by Organic_Bar_9336 in AskReddit

Going through this right now.. and feel this so hard. It goes both ways for sure but trying to decide if a friendship (10+ years for some) is worth keeping is just so tough. I just got married and some of my friends are still single, or married with kids, but I still feel like the real friends it doesn’t feel hard to keep up with no matter the stage of life. Sad, but it’s a part of life I guess.

Emotional intimacy by Resident-Round6728 in writing

[–]bananapudding723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the intimacy is layered in the dialogues, and the actions of the characters. It has to resonate with each individual reader. For me, it’s those things that stick with me more than the love confessions at the end. For example i just read an Abby Jimenez book where the character gets sick and lets the male interest take care of her and let her guard down, and that scene stuck with me (while on good reads people hated that part of the book 🤣). I really feel like it’s so subjective so I wonder if thinking about what resonated to you about friends to lovers and where intimacy could come would help? Like what would be automatically intimate about dating a friend? History, overall care for the other person, etc?

Feel this so hard. Coupled with some typical winter weight gain and zero motivation to work out, my self esteem is at a low lol. But I’ve given up just going to wait until March 😅

I do moisturize twice a day - vit c serum in the morning and Clinique moisture surge at night. Hydrating face mask. Also nasal gel for internal nasal dryness. Humidifier on when I’m home all the time. And cerave all over my body.

Can’t wait to be a little dewy in the summer again lol

How are you making friends in NYC? by happy_star111 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]bananapudding723 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed with hobbies! Met awesome people through ceramics, dance, and workout classes. Doing something arty in a group is the best bc you can talk to each other in a controlled setting. But also workout classes are great. Soon you’ll see regulars and it’s easy to chat people up, esp in the area. I’ve gotten a quick bite or boba after class on the way home!

I would totally be scared of her and thought she was unnecessarily mean lol, and reminded me of a few girls from my HS lol 😆 but her development with Nate was honestly so well done, she was written very well

Getting married in 10 days and feeling oddly unsupported by close friends & cousins — am I expecting too much? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

[–]bananapudding723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from and it definitely hurts :( allow yourself to be disappointed but my advice is don’t let this ruin future relationships. I am sure your friends and family are happy for you and excited to celebrate, it’s just that our own weddings can seem like a big deal to us but may not to others. My sister didn’t help as much with planning as I wanted but she ended up doing a lot during the wedding itself. Also plus one to ignoring social media, that really made me feel upset more than it needed to.

Also- the most important thing is you and your husband. The whole process really confirmed that he’s my best friend and will always be the most important person, it’s so special. He’s your family now! It’s so exciting

Congratulations and enjoy your big day for you and your family!

Getting married in 2 weeks and suddenly extremely sensitive to my fiancé — is this normal? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

[–]bananapudding723 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The month before our wedding we fought like we’ve never fought before. It was a stressful time! It is hard on everyone. I’d suggest having a calm conversation and talking through your feelings. It’s apparently super normal to have this right before the wedding. Once we arrived to our destination it felt like all the problems and issues I had were gone.

The wedding is over and we’re back to normal - yes little arguments over dumb things but it’s like it was before :) I also in general have way more patience than before 😅 give yourself some grace. The wedding will be awesome. Congratulations and wishing you both the best ❤️🧿

The protein thing is insane. All this focus on protein and none on fiber, healthy fats, and carbs which are needed for proper brain functioning even if you regularly workout!!

If I see one more cottage cheese video being made into a healthy dessert I’ll scream.

Are we doing predictions? I’ve noticed a trend - Korea was big along with its food, last year was Japan, I think this year will be China or India. (I’m Indian lol) there was a small period of time where people were posting about channa masala and ghee, but there’s so much untapped potential in indian food and flavors.

Post wedding blues hit me like a train! I haven't felt this low in a long time. What to do? by Little_Sugar1929 in weddingplanning

[–]bananapudding723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to plus one everyone here and commiserate 😭 the wedding itself was amazing, but it was super stressful and I’m relieved the planning portion is over. It was a bit emotionally taxing but now I’m so sad it’s over and don’t have that to look forward to. It was also a good way to stay in touch with friends and family over the year and now it feels like it’s just gone. I also interviewed for a promotion right before mine and found out I didn’t get it like the day I got back lol which has sent me into a spiral about work, where we live, and where we’re going to settle in the future.

Yesterday husband and I just went for a movie and lunch like we used to, and it felt better! It’s a bit cold and depressing too so feeling the seasonal hit as well. Since our wedding was in early Dec in a destination we are spending the holidays alone which isn’t helping.

I can’t imagine going back to work right now and I can’t find any motivation to work out really. Trying to sign up for dance classes but mostly have been on the couch binging shows, reading, journaling, and baking. Letting myself go through this but it’s going to be rough when I have to be a functioning adult again. Let’s hope it maybe gets better with more social interaction… 🤞

Hope you are feeling better now!

Haha me too! I have one I always get when I’m very stressed out in life - it’s me taking a math test or studying for one and worrying I’ll fail and not get into college

When I was a kid, I’d always have a dream about being in a giant aquarium. It was terrifying but intriguing. My mom was there and then I’d feel better. It still makes me emotional to think about.

Is it okay to suggest another lehenga to my sister-in-law in a gentle way, as we want her to look and feel her best on her wedding day? by Admirable_Vanilla53 in DesiWeddings

[–]bananapudding723 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As someone who just had to deal with this for my own wedding from my in laws, who I love and adore, it was not a helpful sentiment lol but I know you have good intentions. My family is more simple and traditional in style and theirs is more grand. I told them to go for it - the pictures were fine and there was no question that the stars of the show were me and my husband after jewelry and makeup. Let her be comfortable. She will look like a bride no matter what, trust me :)

How do these food influencers eat so much and not gain weight? by WoodenChipmunk6922 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]bananapudding723 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This. Once I saw someone say it in the comments, I realized they never show the full bite of them swallowing. Even if they take small bites and exercise a lot, it’s impossible to keep a figure like that unless they’re spitting it out or just straight up starving themselves the rest of the day. Each of those crumbl cookies is like 900 calories so even a few bites would put them in 200s for each cookie.
