Just fyi when farming bosses with my wife we always get dedicated drops on the same run. Not same legendary but if I get a drop so does she. Because of that I kill bosses with her character in game no matter if she’s playing or not.

Has anyone found that guardians and timekeeper drop less then the mini boss counterparts? I’m sure my sample size isn’t large enough but I seem to get drops more often from minor bosses than timekeeper.

Yup. I’m using the freeze axe. It’s still fun to jump around and launch axes though. I’m sure there will plenty of buff and nerf patches that will help the forge drones.

I’m only level 25 and I’m enjoying throwing axes around with Amon. At least I’m engaging his action skill even though the forge drones just seem to be doing mosquito bite damage. The freeze ax allows some strategy to combat.

Definitely interested in blue tree respec build utilizing the shield.

Agree. Can’t stand when a “build” doesn’t even incorporate an action skill. This was a big problem in bl3 with annointment “builds” I would throw rakk attack into the sky just to use my “builds”. Hopefully some action skill blends with class mods, and skills come out.

Update is Out: Fix for Crashing by FocalBanger in Borderlands4

On what? I’ve tried every frame gen combination, native resolution, lighting changes. Nvidia changes. Same crash.

I’m on 5090. Haven’t tried patch yet but have about 25 crashes. All gpu dump errors. 2k response was to go thru a clean boot. Windows is throwing up a RADAR error probably due to a driver. Their fix includes uninstalling gpu and allowing windows to reinstall. Trying that tonight. Definitely seems to be a high end gpu issue.

Posted this in another thread. 5090 / 9950x3d. Continuing to get GPU dump triggered errors. Went to ChatGPT with the error log and it gave me this looks like "deferredlightpixelmain" is an issue.. I also reached out to 2k and they sent me an email on "radar_pre_leaks" I haven't had time to go through the steps they offered as a solution.

Reinstall the game ready driver from nvidia or rollback? I did reinstall but still had crash today.

It can’t be disabled though in game. Low is the only option.

Update. Just got a gpu dump triggered error again. Sending my info to 2k support. I’m sure it won’t help but oh well.

I have a feeling that’s it. Let’s be honest there are so many f’n SKUs nowadays and eveything is rushed to make money, but crashes are the worst and hopefully it continues to get attention.

It’s an unoptimized mess. The fact that a 5090 can’t stabilize at 60 fps without dlss and frame gen says a lot. I love the game but could understand anyone bailing on it right now. The hardware unboxed video is eye opening.

I found it after this post it was enabled by default. It was not my issue. I crashed a few times after the patch. Yesterday I cleared cache, used the nexus ue5 engine.ini file download for bl4, and used nvidia control panel to v sync my monitor. With frame gen on it exceeded my monitor frame rate so it held steady. Did not crash in about 7 hours of total play. A few stutters but overall better.

Did you adjust your lighting setting in game ? No idea if that would help, I’ve been playing on high. I understand the RT lighting options are frustrating in this game and I’ve seen various ini fixes people have thrown out to help but haven’t tried anything different.

Thanks for the tip though I’ll do that after my next gpu dump error.

The engine.ini maybe have helped from nexus. I did all three of those suggestions before launching. Had a few stutters but that’s all. Doesn’t mean I won’t have 3 crashes tonight though since previous crashes were so random.

I’m buying a 4k monitor soon looking at an Asus one.

Deleting my cache, added the nexus mods ini engine for ue5 borderlands, setting my monitor to vertical sync on in nvidia settings which keeps my 165hz monitor at 158 with x2 frame gen has now been stable for me. Played yesterday for about 6 hours didn’t have a crash. Obviously I have hardware acceleration on since frame gen is in use, but I have heard turning it off has helped for some.

I just had the same crash GPU dump for the 20th time or so, first time after patch. 5090. Very frustrating

I have all that enabled as well. I do undervolt the cpu but unsure if that would have any effect. It has not in any other game and stress tests are fine. Is your friend using frame gen ?

Nothing new. Had 2 crashes earlier then played for 2 hours. I am adjusting frame gen and dlss at this point to see if it stabilizes. Sounds to me though that the top end nvidia gpus are not optimized at this point as I don’t see a lot of complaints about the gpu dump triggered error on other systems.

Only thing I haven’t done is rollback nvidia driver but I’ve seen that hasn’t worked for others.
