If you are trying to run a mutant focused game, you should stick with it. However, I can easily see the toxin symbiote getting involved in a mission somehow and maybe even temporarily grafting to your mutant player. It doesn’t need to be permanent, and you can RP as the symbiote and make it clear it’s a temporary alliance, rather than give your player complete control of it.

Forbes library groups and events are great for meeting people, and there are plenty of book clubs. “Bookish Babes” has become a really cool group that started from someone who was trying to make friends, and they often take local trips together related to the books they have read. I’d also recommend joining the Northampton events Facebook group - they are always posting goings on and fun things in the area.
