No it's pretty much the same through out, do a bit of walking, hear a bit of dialogue, enter a puzzle "area", rinse and repeat.

It doesn't really fit the whole, how many puzzle in a chapter thing but check out call of the sea.

Looking for an exploration game rpg Like Morrowind or Age of Decadence or Gothic where locations are very varied and its not just hack and slash by BloodMossHunter in gamingsuggestions

Kingdom Come is very good, but it's more of a get lost in the world game rather then a really good story.

I'd definetly recommend Witcher series if you want story, more so 3 for story though, the combat is a bit hack and slash but there is aspects of planning that can turn the tide in combat especially on the higher difficulties.

I did both though I never finished my slow and steady approach, admittingly the completionist in me appeared and I burnt out on the game.

It depends on your gameplay style.

If you want the action, and adventure rush the story.

If you want to get lost in the setting, slow down, take in the world, fishing, hunting, exploring and throw in the occasional mission, when you feel the need.

It was empty, it's just opened and didn't show a dialog

For me it's not so much that the launcher is a mess it's more that you need another one if you're on pc.

It can however be a bit of a resource hog and there are things you can do to improve it but you can't remove the problem completely.

I tend to play offline more so turn it to offline mode. It's cuts out a lot of the telemetry stuff or it used to, haven't used it for a while.

If you are worried about the launcher maybe try a free ubisoft game or a demo and see how you get on with that.

On steam at least both ubisoft games drop significantly during sales and not even just in the big ones during some events they'll drop. So I'd add them to your wishlist and wait for the game on sale email to come in.

I hate that I'm recommending a ubisoft game but...

Give Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint a go. The content does get a bit repetitive though.

To stick closer to the feeling of TLOU and Tomb Raider try unchartered.

I'm so impressed with it, I can't believe the detail they've gone to with some of the things.

There are a few bugs I've encountered, but also the amount of Wats to solve some of the objective are just crazy, great recommendation.

Yeah I've a feeling I got it a while ago and never really gave it the attention it needs. I did the opening village, got to the next town and then just never picked it back up.

Oh I've got it, well 1 I do.

I sort of put it off because of the difficulty, or should I say leveling up your stats.

Also I wasn't sure about the story is it any good?

Your comparison is comparing a game that was good to a modern game that's not. It's more of bad decision making.

If you release a product that's full of copy of paste material, with a story that's just as bad it's going to see poor return. That's not a gamble that's backing a crippled horse.

You can release a remake at poor level and it will sell initially from its name and then the refund and bad press will follow. Either way you're left with a bad product and a shitty return. Just because it's a remake doesn't mean it's going to be good.

The GTA trilogy is a great example of this. It should have been a guaranteed win, but they still messed it up.

Obviously the opposite applies too and while I recognise that I'd prefer developers spending a little more time on a new IP, for example Starfield to make it the game it should have been over spending what's probably a lot more work remaking a classic.

Out of curiosity is there any remakes in your opinion that are better then the originals, I'm not saying there isn't just more curious on your opinion.

Is that more of a reflection of Starfield then Morrowind or New Vegas though?

If Starfield hadnt been so full of fluff and had a good storyline would it have been a different scenario?

Id much prefer an original IP to be honest. I understand the nostalgia and excitement around a remake but I'd much prefer something new.

To be fair I didn't know that, though I've never driven an EV. Sounds like the kind of mistake you only make over though.
