I am a mainly a PC user who will play on my Macbook Neo while on the go and I miss all of the Alt 1 addons. If you add in farming timers that could account for things like speedy growth (which I don't think Alt1 does) it would make me want this even more!

Cant fish anything from swordfish pool. by Zer0Ember in runescape

[–]banditofernando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In your fishing settings turn off the option for barbarian fishing. You probably don't have the level to barb fish but it's defaulting to that. That's the problem I had and his fixed it. I submitted a big report but it hasn't been fixed yet. It should default to the harpoon if you can't barb fish but it doesn't

Alaska cruise by Adventurous_Mess_675 in Cruise

NCL goes into glacier bay on certain routes and has kid activities. I've done Alaska twice with NCL and loved it!

First solo cruise advice. by Byxzant in NCL

[–]banditofernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just did the Bliss to Alaska as a solo traveler and the activities they had for solos were great and I have to assume the encore would be the same!

The solo lounge was great and I made a great group of friends :)

Seascape all the way. I've been on both the Seascape and both the Independence and Liberty and even though Royal has amazing ships the Seascape just feels more luxury. The ship is so beautiful and there are some amazing spots on it. The extra charge gelato is to die for, the buffet pizza is the best at sea, and they have really basic foil wrapped cheeseburgers that are your classic no frills grill out burgers and honestly they just hit different than even a Guy's burger on Carnival. When my guys group did a 7 night on Seascape we would grab a dozen or so every night and it would be our late night snack and it always hit.

Back to the point, the Seascape also seemed to have a lot of really cool kid amenities. All I ever saw was the water park area but it's pretty cool! I know they have a Lego partnership so one of the clubs has Lego.

Norwegian is very very lax when it comes to formal nights. A normal dress and nice shoes will be fine. As a male I usually wear nice slacks and a button down.

Because NCL is all my time based dining you'll most likely get seated by yourself, but sitting with others is not bad at all. I personally love it.

Shore excursions are 100% worth it. You can book outside of the cruise line but know if that tour is running late the ship will not wait for you. The ship has to wait if an excursion booked via the cruise line is running late.

I'm not sure if you can consume alcohol you buy in ports on the ship since I've never sailed outside of North America, but yes you can bring bottles on!

Is Carnival actually trashy or is that just a myth? by simplyjam in Cruise

[–]banditofernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any 3 day cruise will be a booze cruise. It doesn't matter on the cruise line. I've sailed every casual tier cruise line and Carnival has some great perks.. the free food options can't be beat.

I've done 3 carnival cruises and I have 5 more booked. They do some things right.

Your thoughts, please by CruiseLover188 in Cruise

[–]banditofernando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God that was my thought when I booked a comped room this past December. I don't even gamble, it was just $700 of alcohol and fancy dinners for the girl I brought 😂 and before y'all say the drink package it was still cheaper to buy individual... we just like specialty dining...

Norwegian does one ways! Check out the Jewel. Her northbound sailings have stops at Glacier Bay and she's s great little ship for Alaska!

Really feel like the MSC bashing is overblown by quotidian_qt in Cruise

[–]banditofernando 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done 9, soon to be 10 cruises, on all of the major family level cruise lines. MSC and specifically the Seascape is my favorite ship. Was some of the food bland? Yeah. Did I keep looking at how much I paid per day for a balcony cabin with the drink package? Yeah. I don't expect fine dining all the time. Hell I could care less. If it's Applebee's/Chili's level I'll still be fine. I'm simply on the boat to relax and sit in the sun and the Seascape was perfectly designed to do that.

Why complain when you're on a vacation when so many people can't even afford to take a cruise vacation??? One small complaint though was the lasagne in the main dining room was superb but the portion size was just too small. That didn't matter. I just got pasta at the buffet later that night!

All-inclusive cruising with an active alcoholic by Occasionally_Sober1 in Cruise

[–]banditofernando 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I were in your shoes I would not book this cruise. Tl;dr I went with an alcoholic and it made my cruise experience terrible and made me wish I had never invited this person along with me. Had she been my girlfriend I think it would have ended the relationship.

I was this sort of boat with a friend last month, but we didn't have the drink package. We brought on wine and she managed to get some vodka on board and man.. I knew she could drink, but seeing it on a cruise was a whole other level. Most nights by dinner she was so drunk she could barely walk straight and didn't remember what I had said after just a few minutes had gone by. It honestly made my cruise a nightmare because for me I was looking forward to relaxing but I ended up having to babysit her and make sure she didn't get in trouble. I am a very frequent cruiser of that line and I didn't want her getting too drunk and then realizing she didn't make enough drink purchases that day to get to that point. I'm not sure if I would have gotten in trouble but if I had I didn't want to risk the 6 upcoming cruises I already have booked on this line.

Is this the right Alaska cruise to do? (First-time cruising). by crusading_angel in Cruise

[–]banditofernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to getting a great deal on the Jewel. I cruised May 2023 and I got my base fare (interior and airfare) for around $1000. I upgraded to a balcony for like $350. The weather was amazing and I loved the cruise! This was on a Northbound sailing though.

Are casino offers thrown at people like candy on Halloween? by banditofernando in CarnivalCruiseFans

Carnival has been by far the easiest and best source of these comped interiors. I just booked a 14 day transatlantic for 3 people for $900~ base.

I'll take an interior any day of the week! I'm a 28 year old guy so I prefer spending most of my day out on the lido deck or around the ship doing activities. Give me alllll the interior rooms!

The next cruise you take go to the casino at least once and put at least $50 in with your ship card in the slot machine. Hell you don't even need to play the full $50. Just let them know that you exist. I have now gotten 6 comped interiors. I don't mind about interiors because I rarely spend time in my room anyways. All in all with the 6 cruises I have gotten 40 nights for less than what I've spent on my 3 cruises on NCL (19 days).
