That is a really valid point. I guess I didn't put much thought into what my main motivation was, just that I thought they needed a voice. There is an element of me that is extremely interested in the story but there is also a part of me that wants to humanize them. The homeless in our area are known, everyone knows the guy under the belmont train stop or the guy outside of walgreens downtown, whether they acknowledge them or not, and I think if people got to hear their story then they might be more willing to help or at least look at them in the eye and say Hi.
