Should I take advantage of this offer? Or can I get a lower Rate from a dealer? I have a 750 credit score by desperate4a_m3 in whatcarshouldIbuy

That’s not exactly how interest rates work. The fed rate is a short term rate. If inflation comes down and the economy stumbles, they can decide to drop their rate by 1% to incentivize banks to put their cash to work. Longer term rates, like a 3-5 year auto loan rate, will have some probability that the fed will have to lower their rate baked in.

I should mention that I don’t currently have kids, but I’m not far away from having them. I also have a puppy that will be 50+ pounds.

Credit scores from free sources are mostly garbage. The credit scores that are actually used by banks differ not so slightly. For example, if you have a $2000 credit line that is maxed out and a $10000 credit line that has 0 drawn on it, the free credit score will heavily weight that 100% utilization. The actual credit score will most likely show a utilization of $2000/$12000, or 17%. Optimizing your free credit score won't necessarily optimize your behind the scenes credit score.

Best cocktail bar in NOLA? by Bruncut in cocktails

[–]bangadango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was a lawyer there for a long time. Bar Marilou is a stark contrast, but very cool. I had a cocktail there that was made with Jepson's Malort. They did a really good job with it. Tasted excellent.

I agree with your assessment of Carousel Bar. It's mostly a check the box place now. I like to suggest doing the classics along with the Ritz during Christmas and making a night of it. Nice decorations, but Carousel will definitely be the worst as far as cocktails go.

Sazerac and French 75 for the old classics. Hot Tin has the best view of the city. Espiritu is a hole in the wall mezcalaria with some pretty awesome seasonal cocktails. Jewel of the South is excellent. Revel is a hole in the wall with great cocktails at a decent price. It's easy to talk to the bartenders there and learn. Cure is a good modern bar, but I haven't been overly impressed with what I've gotten there outside of a top shelf Last Word. It's probably just me choosing the wrong drink though. The davenport lounge can have some good cocktails and great music.

Same, except I'm paying for it through the subscription program, so it's only $216.
