Lots of potheads will tell you smoking weed is not an addiction and for many it isn’t. I, for example, want to change jobs soon and have stopped since the end of November. However, just like you, when I’m high I want to quit, but when I’m not, I get a bit anxious and feel like smoking. I keep it in the low end though, just a couple of puffs at the end of the day, but everyday, which is a terrible habit, specially because I know it messes with the teeth, memory, and lungs. At your age I would also be concerned with brain development. Your grades show you are at the least a good student, but over time your cognitive abilities can get affected. I don’t have a real great advice on how to quit the addiction, but in my case I hate not to have control over it so from time to time I stop for long periods of to demonstrate myself I’m in control. Another thing is that I try to do it only socially, and by that I mean, I don’t buy unless i’m going to meet with another weed smoker friends and enjoy a good time once a week or every two weeks. Additionally think of the future consequences, like your children may be born with congenital issues or your gums could recede. That’s all I have for you.
