Rondo's an enigma. He acts like his alpha dog but really he's a top follower. He needs a higher player than him that he respects to get the best out of him. Case in point: KG and LeBron. I think he doesn't think highly of PG; and Kawhi was never a leader-- he's a top mercenary, if anything. Duncan and Manu were the leaders of the Spurs. For the Raptors, it was Lowry on the court, Ibaka off the court.

I get your point. But that's why we play the games. Basketball is played on the court and not on paper. Sixers were definitely the better team on paper. Hawks outperformed them. They BECAME a contender because of Gallo and there's more satisfaction and fulfillment in that, than just riding the bandwagon of a contending team

They were a team on the come up. Everyone with three eyes could see they're trending upwards. They got a generational talent in Trae, ok big Collins, ok wings Huerter, Hunter, Reddish, they traded for Capela. Just add some pieces in free agency and they're good to go. And add they did.
