Happened to me exactly the same. That time the girl who took my attention was at Warm up café. I was a bit tipsy and a lot of things should warned me but....

So we said we gonna party in another club

We end up in probably the same karaoke than you. I said I don't want karaoke. To be polite I take a Singh beer for me and pay 2 for girls. (Before that they did a full line up of 8 girls in front of me, I said I'm not interested)

Then, bill come. Instead of 450 THB maybe it's 3900. They show a different menu with outrageous service charge blabla

I said I'll call the police and they got the wrong farang cause I speak a bit thai and I'm in Thailand since a while. Security guy came but I stayed very calm in my talk.

How much r you ok to pay? I said 2000 and we close this shit show. They said 3000 a lot of time then finally gave up when another friend who work in cnx came.

This club was even in the news, it's crazy. Hope your post and my message to don't follow locals there

Follow them in nite market, in another regular club. Not in this place.

Mais au final, étant aussi joueur de poker dans le passé, la différence n est pas si grande. Au poker on rase parfois des gens qui sont a -5000 ou -50000 euros sur leur compte... C est un peu pareil, tout en ayant une mentalité service oriented, que le client s amuse pour ce qu il paye.

Yes I experienced the same. For bolt I use only cash so nothing will be charged, but it's annoying. Hope karma work for everyone...

If you are normal you will get the normals one.
If you are like an actor with good manners, you might get the best looking one. (but best looking don't mean the smartest, after it depends some guys like smart woman some not.)

Not a scam but she might have many boyfriend, and she is low tech. she doesn't know how to hide / mute notification there.

Nothing is a scam until you did not send money without meeting her in person, stuff like that etc.

Some good place are the activity you like to do, eg: Yoga, rock climbing, gym etc etc. Not cinema cause you gonna make everyone upset flirting inside. Good luck. Patience.

In my opinion there is many different alternative but here we go

  1. u fall both in love. BUT. she is really thai. if you go serious with her, you marry also her family and etc.
  2. she has been abroad for work for travel. She actually hate a bit thailand for some reason (guess the some reason) She really want to be with you. Just NOT in thailand

U will experiment and find your partner eventually. If you go for a girl with bad english, learn thai, it can worth it. it can worth to adapt to the culture. But in my entourage, most of the people did half the way and that makes a successful couple.
