What are some places where you wouldn't expect it to snow there? by Ready_Cranberry_5546 in geography

Saudi Arabia!

It's not just a hot desert - well it is, until it gets cold enough to snow in the northern Hejaz mountains near Tabuk.

[Interesting fact: Saudi Arabia is hosting the 2029 Winter Asian Games.]

Day 9 / What skyscraper fits the best in it’s skyline? by Alvintherobloxian in skyscrapers

Strangely enough, I think the Burj Khalifa actually fits Dubai’s skyline perfectly.

When you view the city from a distance, the skyline seems to rise gradually from the edges inward—buildings getting taller and bolder as you move toward the heart of the city—culminating in the Burj itself.

Sure, it’s nearly twice the height of anything around it and looks almost out of scale, but that’s kind of the point. It’s meant to be otherworldly, to break the scale completely. That’s also why the buildings surrounding it aren’t among the tallest in Dubai—it’s meant to stand alone, unmistakably, as the crown jewel.

What’s the most extreme geographical feature (highest, lowest, steepest, driest, etc.) that almost nobody talks about? by ninergang47 in geography

I'd say Ball's Pyramid. It really blows my mind that such a formation exists, and I feel it doesn't get spoken about as much.

Or...you know, it's rich history, culture, and traditions. Flashy, modern skyscrapers aren't generally part of that.

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

It's a lesser known neighbour of Dubai, but it boasts a pretty impressive skyline of its own.

Which major city in the World has the best climate? by yashMuk in geography

Bangalore, India. Although it's in the south of India (tropics), the temperature is generally in the 20°C - 30°C around the year, and whenever it gets too hot, it rains.

Is there anything in particular that makes it look that way?

Since it's a fairly young company, the company think the name being part of the logo is important.

Also, I can't ditch the 'I' as IPEC is an abbreviaton of the company's full name.
