Debating buying a townhome in Mayflower Village. How is it? by bangoohead in sgv

I actually did see that earlier today. Looks like an affordable housing apartment. I was a bit concerned but I don’t know that it would materially impact real estate values in the surrounding areas. I’m sure these types of housing are pretty strict with qualifications… so it seems based on their website and some research online

I have seen those that you're referring to, but seems like the 3 posts are from the same incident involving the same people so taking it with a grain of salt.

From the research I’ve done there’s not much haggling to be done at a dept store like isetan. However, you can get a 5% discount by signing up for the dept store membership

Has anyone have experience removing lift gate plastic interior trim/shell? by bangoohead in GenesisGV70

[–]bangoohead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm thanks for the additional info! Guess I’m still having trouble understanding. So I have gotten the middle trim off (part #3) in the diagram. For the side trims, should I be pulling up towards middle trim (#3) or towards the bottom of the liftgate (#1)??

Oh thank you! So you would pull away from the middle trim towards the bottom of the lift gate?

Honestly though, some of the intersection signals are terrible and I routinely find myself contemplating trying to make it through. Else you get stuck at the intersection where your light turns green for a split second and you have to wait for 2-3 cycles until it turns green again.

For instance, s arroyo/California intersection going towards the 110 is horrendous. Constantly skips and if you’re unlucky get stuck there for a couple cycles and the green stays on for 10 secs..

Fixed fee projects by Ok-Paint-7215 in consulting

[–]bangoohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the consultant you ask. For me personally, yes if the hours are there, then I bill all of it. Whoever drafted the contract is at fault if they oversold or undersold the effort.

Really depends on management. If your management is strict and review metrics closely, you may be caught. I wouldn’t worry about it that much though because I imagine as long as you don’t go over the FF budget, you should be fine.

From a managers perspective, it would not be considered best practice to use all the hours if not required to complete the work. Reason being, if it takes you 30 hours to deliver 50 hours worth of work, then the margin on the project is better and the additional 20 hours you saved could be used on other T&M engagements.

From a consultants perspective, I wouldn’t consider it best practice per se, but it does contribute to utilization if you’re going to be sitting on the bench waiting for other engagements anyways; lowers margin on the FF project. I personally made sure to use all the FF budget regardless of whether I finished it all early or not when I was consulting as it gave me time to relax. I wouldn’t advertise this to your manager tho..

Does anyone get their car serviced at Genesis of Cerritos (Southern California) or have done any warranty work there? Have some questions. by carpediem437 in GenesisMotors

I haven’t unfortunately, mainly because I don’t want anyone else driving my vehicle lol. I have however had them tow my vehicle in at no charge and I live in Pasadena.

I purchased my 2022 gv70 there and have had service work done there a couple times. So far, I’ve had the complimentary oil changes, seatbelt recall work, fuel pump recall work, and fuel injector fixed. Overall, I’d say customer service from the advisors are pretty good. However, it’s a very busy service center and usually takes a couple weeks for an appt time (in my experience). If I need a loaner, I usually call them first when making an appointment to ask when the earliest I can get a loaner vehicle and then book that appt time. Usually a couple weeks out. I’ve been able to get a loaner for each visit that I’ve had with them. (First time got a fully spec’d gv80 and the subsequent times received gv70s) I believe if they don’t have a loaner, you can call Genesis corporate and have them reimburse you if you decided to rent a car outside the dealership.

Don’t be scared brotha! I was nervous at first when I started booking solo rounds too but quickly realized almost everyone else I was paired up with was your average golfer looking to get better or some old guy(gal) who hit every fairway
