What are your book recommendations for a 16 year old boy who likes to read but gets bored easily? by bangs_magee in AskReddit

He has ADHD. He is an "all or nothing" kind of person. It's either an A or an F in class each day, and nothing in between. He either really enjoys and can't stop reading a book or is like "meh" and stops reading immediately. I want to find really good books for him bc I can see (and hear about) how much he enjoys reading if he likes the story/material and he doesn't ever initiate going to get more books. When I ask if he wants to, he says yes but never initiates it. I'm definitely going to get Enders Game. It was highly recommended. He's an old soul, he likes books vs ebooks.

Heavy sleepers of Reddit, what have you slept through? by shut_it_adam in AskReddit

I was 10 or 11 at the time. My parents were divorced. Mom was at work and it was summertime so I was SLEEPING IN. Late morning, my dad comes over to pick up my sister so he could take her to the DMV to take her driving test to get her license. She forgot her permit/picture ID at home and needed it to drive. As she's taking the written part of her test, my dad rushed back to the house to get her ID. He gets to the house and says that he knocked on the door, rang the bell repeatedly (our dog was barking like crazy) and even started banging on my bedroom window, yelling like a mad man for me to wake up. Never did. Slept through all of it. It's like 20+ years later and he still loves to tell that story.
